The driver was friendly and witty, and the bus provides good sceneries. So you can sit back and enjoy the view! Our experience had free lunch, and we loved the chicken pie! Worth the price!

The experience of the fjord and Fjordland is fantastic! We even saw dolphins! The guide was wonderful, with a talent for storytelling. I do recommend that the company considers 2 drivers, who can take turns. The road is very narrow and winding and driving 12 hours is extremely difficult, and in the end, dangerous. This is not a criticism of our driver, who was great.

Spectacular scenery and beautiful cruise on Milford sound. It’s a long day but worth the visit and definitely worth letting someone else drive the road to Milford sounds.

I have been on mildford sound trip a few years ago so naturally I'm comparing the experiences provided by two different tour operators- RealNZ (then) and Pure Mildford (now). Pure Mildford picked up from the hotel, which is a plus. The driver is friendly and helpful however I found the driver from RealNZ was more passionate about nature, his tour speech was interesting, knowledgeable and engaging, and his passion towards conservation was infectious. I found the pit stops by PM is different from RealNZ, and some of the stops are not great, and very rushed. I remembered RealNZ stopped at a bridge, looking down the valley, where I took a photo that reminded me of some of the best sceneries of NZ. Lunch pack by PM was very average, to be honest don't bother call it "lunch is provided" Also not too happy about the charge for infant, my one year old didn't get a seat on bus (which is fine), didn't get any lunch allowance, so I don't see the value of the charge? The driver kept on mentioning how much things are, like QT house price, rental cost, how much hiking cost etc. I mean these can be researched if people are interested, why including in the tour speech? It's a nature tour and we expect to hear more about how wonderful the nature is in the area, the flora and fauna, make a joke about the never-coming snow this year, tell us about the wineries, the starry night sky, the great walks, lakes, the brave people who does cold plunges in the lake, something interesting instead of everyday nitty gritty, we are on holidays here after all!

Starting from Queenstown early in the morning, our driver picked us up at our hotel bus stop. The trip began heading to Te Anau. After a short break and a few stops to see some of the local sites along the way, for example Mirror Lake and Monkey Creek. The impressive part of the journey was going through Homer’s tunnel. Coming out the other side to see the impressive vertical wall faces and all the waterfalls among them. As we made it down to the fjord itself and got on the boat, the view was just spectacular. We had a perfect weather for our boat tour. You do need a full day for this journey, but it’s well worth it.

Amazing experience! Scenery was stunning, bus was awesome with the glass roof, and the bus driver and boat captain were both great!

Seeing Milford sound was certainly breathtaking. Getting there was another story! If you’re prone to motion sickness I would definitely suggest travel sickness medicine.. the road there can be unforgiving, and it’s long. But at the end of the 12 hour round trip long day, it’s most definitely worth it and you’ll be glad you went. Our driver was fun with great commentary along the way and his driving was impeccable, having done it so many times. Highly recommend

Stunning views all the way to Milford sound. Long bus journey to sound but the views make up for it. The glass roof on bus made it possible to see and feel the majesty of the mountains driving into Fjordlands.
