Note 10 for the tour, note 3 for Tripadvisor. Starting with the reservation, I found a fair price, although buying directly at the port the price is much cheaper. The reservation included hotel transfer and a tour guide in Spanish and English. After making the reservation, I indicated that I would meet with the "group" at the departure of the boats. When I arrived there, no one knew what my ticket was and no one knew the company that had bought the ticket (titicaca tours). Well desperate, and because it is the last hour of the day, I sent a whats message to Tripadvisor that promptly answered me, informing that at 15h they would meet me at the lighthouse, which really happened. A serious failure, which could have been avoided with a simple message informing the exact meeting place and a contact. After that, everything was wonderful. Great guide, great visit. Note 10.
We absolutely loved it! It was a rewarding last-minute experience booked the day before with Booking. Everything went exactly according to plan: the Titicaca Tours staff picked us up from our hotel—punctual and friendly—and took us to the boat launch, where we met our guide, Jefferson. We traveled by boat to the Rinaldo family's island along with other guests. They gave us interesting demonstrations on how they build their floating platform and what their daily life is like. We did some shopping, as that is how they make their living (and rightly so), and then we took a rowboat over to the "bar island." The whole excursion lasted three and a half hours, after which we were driven back to our hotel. The service was superlative and impeccable—rich in content and offering excellent value for money. The guide was knowledgeable and attentive, and the drivers were kind. We are grateful for the experience and would certainly recommend it! Thanks to all staff!
Good communication by the team the day before regarding pick up. Picked up on time at hotel in comfortable van. Same for return. Guide spoke spanish and english and provided quite a lot of info prior to start of visit to Uros islands. Visiting one island inhabited by few families was informative. Visit to 2nd island with ‘cafe’ did not add more to the experience for us. All in all easy +- 3 hour tour from Puno. The tour operator was able to also arrange transport to airport next day at lower rate than hotel offered.
Excellent experience with private transfer to uros islands. Tour guide and island owner were informative and great hospitality. Would definitely recommend this tour company

If you are in Puno and have a few hours, don't miss this tour. Pick up at the hotel to the pier, comfortable boat. Floating islands are touristy, it’s true, but thanks to Rolly, our native Uros guide, we enjoyed the history and traditions of an ancient community, visited their homes, learned a few words of their language, going beyond the postcard visit. Tour operator of top professionalism.

I booked this tour last minute on the Viator site. We thought the tour was excellent value for money. We were picked up at our hotel. I was in contact with Ronald via whatsup, he is very organised and answered promptly. Our guide was Yeferson. He is knowledgeable, speaks very good English and delivered the history with a good sense of humour. Yeferson is an absolute delight and we could not have wished for a better guide. We enjoyed the boat trip to the islands and recommend this tour highly.

We arrived from Cusco at 5 in the morning and the staff were super friendly letting us keep our bags in the office, getting us on the 9am tour and helping us to plan our onward travel. The tour itself was good value for money, we went two islands and got to see how the locals lived.

We were taken to an island however I felt obliged to buy something which I did not want . I was not prepared for this pressure

We completely understand that this can make the experience uncomfortable, and we sincerely regret that this was your impression of the tour. We would like to clarify that the traditional reed boat ride at Uros is managed directly by the local residents and is completely optional, as indicated in the Viator tour information, as well as in the recommendations and tour summary that we send in advance by WhatsApp as part of our briefing. When passengers choose to take this activity, it is also a way of supporting the local community. However, we fully understand that optional activities and local sales should always be presented in a respectful and comfortable way, without making visitors feel pressured. Regarding the purchase of handicrafts, unfortunately this is something that can sometimes happen in many tourist destinations, as local families depend heavily on tourism to support their livelihoods. Even so, we agree that the way this is handled is very important, and the well-being and comfort of our passengers must always be respected. For this reason, although this situation is not entirely under our direct control, we have already raised this concern with the local community in the past and we will address it again in our next meeting with them.
