Nice experience. Ruben and Fernando are a great team.

Some hiking at altitude on cobblestones. If balance is a problem, may need a hiking stick on occasion. Guide was attentive and well jnformed. Spoke English well and responded to questions well. Was physically helpful on occasion. The experience and the information and the local perspective and the sites chosen are well worth it. The private family tour is well worth taking to have information that would otherwise not be available.. you will not know and lose impact if you don' t know when or where or what is out there.

Ruben was an excellent guide on our one-day adventure! He patiently answered all our questions, and he was very informative and personable. We appreciated his willingness to modify our itinerary (we started early and skipped Chinchero) and spend longer times at the other sites and return earlier to Ollantaytambo. These sites provide truly different yet complementary experiences to Machu Picchu. Something to note - the provided lunch was a buffet, so there were food options for all diets (vegetarian, lactose-free, etc.). The 5-star rating is for our guide, but I would give my interaction with Apu Ausangate 4.5 stars. The early communication when reserving the tour was good, but they gave me conflicting information about our modified itinerary the day before our tour, did not respond to my query promptly, and caused me stress since I'd already paid and I was in the middle of flying to Cusco. It worked out in the end, but I could have done without the stress. I appreciated the day-before confirmation, and I still recommend this company as I suspect that this wouldn't be an issue if you don't ask for changes to the tour that they advertise.

A wonderful day out in the sacred valley. Our guide Jonathan was friendly and very informative. The car was very comfortable and the day we'll paced. It's a long day out, but definitely worth a day of your holiday. The lunch provided was tasty. Thank you, Jonathan and the office staff for making it a hassle free, fun day out.

A wonderful experience touring the Sacred Valley! Simply fantastic! Our guide, Ricardo, was exceptional: very kind, attentive, and communicative. Even though our group spoke Portuguese, communication was excellent throughout the entire tour. An experience we totally recommend!

We did two private tours with Apu Ausangate - a Sacred Valley tour from Ollantaytambo to Cusco (Maras, Moray, Chinchero, etc.) and a Rainbow Mountain tour from Cusco. For both of them we had the same guide, Jonny, who was fantastic. They were very accommodating about pickups and start times. Jonny went above and beyond - directing traffic, calming us down when we panicked about the elevation, and telling us all about the sights we were seeing in an engaging manner. Definitely recommend!
