Our tour today to the Poseidon temple in Sounio was more than we could’ve hoped for. The site was matched by the brilliance of our driver and guide, Tassos. He is warm, engaging and has an encyclopedic knowledge of history. And very fun. We look forward to meeting with him again when we return to beautiful Greece. We are going home very satisfied Canadians!
I found Private Greece Tours online and was impressed by the reviews. Nikos was great in helping me plan the tour to ensure I I had the best experience and it was great! Our guide for the Acropolis was Anastasia. She was very knowledgeable, passionate and gave us great details during the Acropolis tour. Mario was our guide and driver for the day. He was wonderful, very knowledgeable about the city and stops on our tour. He also took us to a great restaurant for lunch. Mario gave us great food recommendations and explained the dishes. This was a great that allowed us to see a lot of Athens in one day. Thank you Nikos, Mario and Anastasia for giving us great memories on our first time to Athens!
My whole family loved Yannis and our Temple of Poseidon sunset tour. His car was pristine, and on the drive he shared not only history and legends (he REALLY knows his history) but also shared the Greek experience and the culture. He made reservations for dinner for us at a lovely seafood restaurant on the water. We asked him to join us and absolutely loved his company. It was our last night in Greece, and I'm so very glad we were able to spend it with Yannis! He is a true professional and a delightful person.
We booked a wonderful private tour which took us to the Acropolis and the Temple of Poseidon at Cape Sounion. Our guide, Toli, was excellent - very professional, knowledgeable and friendly. On our way back from Cape Sounion he recommended a seaside taverna on the Athenian Riviera for a late lunch. It served authentic and delicious food and was a fantastic way to end the day. I highly recommend this tour group and Toli!

Highly recommend this private tour! Best money we spent in Athens. We saw every "must see" on our tour, and it was so relaxing and easy. Our guide Vasiliys was so knowledgeable and friendly and kind. We opted to do the 8 hour tour, and it flew by. We enjoyed the drive down the coast and had the best seafood lunch on the most beautiful bay, with a view of ancient ruins above the sea. Do not hesitate to book this tour! Amazing service and we really feel like we have gotten to know the city and its history. 5 stars!

Our driver, Mario, was exceptional—friendly, professional, flexible, and incredibly knowledgeable about Greek history and mythology. His passion for sharing the stories and significance behind the sites made the entire experience even more meaningful. One of the best parts of the day was the Changing of the Guards ceremony. Mario knew exactly where to take us so we could enjoy the entire event with a much smaller crowd. We chose the local gem and were rewarded with an authentic, freshly prepared Greek meal full of incredible flavors. It was one of the best meals we had during our stay.
