Giuseppe made our day wonderful! If you don’t read any further, know that if you want someone knowledgeable, safe, kind, funny, and accommodating, he is absolutely the guide to choose. I wish he could accompany us on all our tours this trip. He took all my requests in, and was able to pivot immediately when we ran into an unexpected issue. He met us at our cruise port and immediately moved us away from the guides trying to sell last minute tours and towards his very nice, new, comfortable Mercedes van. His driving throughout the entire day was very safe and attentive, even with very narrow roads and precarious drivers. Moving us away from crowds would become a theme of the day - he advised we go to the Amalfi coast first, then Pompeii because it was one of the days where entry to Pompeii was free. He said it would be less crowded in the Amalfi villages in the morning and then also less crowded at Pompeii in the afternoon - that all sounded great to us so off we went. He gave us so much information about the area from historical aspects to commerce and sociology and economics. He was able to answer any question we had and while he was facing forward driving, my father-in-law who is hard of hearing, had no trouble hearing Giuseppe from the back of the van. As we made our way through Amalfi villages, he told us about each one. Our first stop was a bit spontaneous when he told us about a village we were driving through that makes fior di latte (type of mozzarella), and asked - do you want to stop and sample it? Yes! I We were presented with a plate of meats, salami, cheeses, and some crackers/biscuits. That stop was very special. Next stop was a scenic lookout where we took pictures with the Amalfi Coast. Our first major stop was in Amalfi. I told Giuseppe before the tour that I was interested in Amalfi paper so he made sure we had plenty of time to shop and look around. I was able to make the purchases I wanted and we tried lemon gelato! Our next stop was lunch in Pontone, Giuseppe made us a reservation and we had an outside shaded table with a terrific view. We enjoyed pasta, pizza, and wine. Next stop was Ravello, a smaller and very charming village. After that we planned to go to Pompeii - we arrived and he dropped us right at the gate and we were denied entry - very confused we looked to Giuseppe and he found out the site had reached its 20,000 visitor limit for the day! In absolutely NO time, he pivoted and led us back to the van and started driving to Herculaneum and told us about the differences and similarities between Pompeii and Herculaneum. He was apologizing profusely but it was totally out of his control, so we had no concern. Herculaneum was a terrific stop - honestly it probably suited our group best because it was more shaded and smaller. He gave an extensive tour with so much detail. It was really special and a major highlight of our trip. He delivered us back to our port with plenty of time to spare.

My mom and I celebrated her 71st birthday by traveling to Italy! Pompeii and Herculaneum were on our bucket list! My mom is hard of hearing and we chose a private tour with Giuseppe! He picked us up in a very clean and well kept Mercedes van, and from the moment we got in he began preparing us for what we would see and the history behind the ancient civilization ! Pompeii was more than I dreamed it is difficult to write how emotional an experience we had but it moved me to tears. Our lunch was unforgettable one of our favorite meals on our trip! The panoramic views were breathtaking! Onward to Herculaneum I was expecting to feel similar to Pompeii but it carries a weight that is very much its own! We loved our guide so dearly that we rebooked his services to take us on the infamous Amalfi Coast Road complete with photos and lunch !

We had an amazing time with Giuseppe! It was so convenient to be picked up at our hotel in Amalfi and the drive through the mountains was its own journey and tour. Giuseppe is incredibly knowledgable and excited by the history of the sites. Our only wish was that we could have spend days at Pompeii - there is so much to see! We had a truly wonderful experience and will be using Giuseppe for any tours in the future - can't recommend enough!

Natalia was a great tour guide of Pompeii and Herculaneum for our party of (7) including teens. It was the hottest day and we are from Florida. We had a wine tasting lunch in between at an organic winery located on the side of Mt. Vesuvius. That was a pleasant surprise. If we had to do it again, doing both places in one day is not necessary. Pick Pompeii.

Our guide Guiseppe was extremely well informed and precise on the history of Pompei and Herculanum. We were very fortunate to have such a professional and knowledged person to show us around these two magnificent places. We highly recomend Guiseppe as a guide.

Fabulous experience. We were fortunate to meet Giuseppe as a couple in 2024 for a tour of Pompeii and Amalfi coast. We so enjoyed our experience that we booked again for our family trip with our teen daughters back to Pompeii and then for the wine tasting as suggested by G who then took us to Ravello where this time we stayed. What a fantastic tour of Pompeii and Herculaneum! I couldn’t thank our guide, Giuseppe, enough for making this experience absolutely unforgettable. There is so much to see in these ancient cities—such incredible pieces of history, and Giuseppe truly brought them to life. He guided us through the ruins with passion and expertise, painting vivid pictures of what life was like nearly 2,000 years ago. Not only is he a wealth of knowledge, but he is also an incredible teacher, listener, and guide. He answered every question with patience and genuine interest, making the tour feel personal and engaging. After exploring, we enjoyed a wonderful lunch and wine tasting at the beautiful Cantina Del Vesuvio Winery, which was the perfect way to reflect on everything we had just seen. It was a truly memorable day and one of the highlights of our two-week journey through southern Italy. If you have the opportunity to visit Pompeii, you would be very fortunate to have Giuseppe as your guide.

We had such a wonderful time with Giuseppe! His communication leading up to the tour was great. We even made a last minute decision to skip Pompeii because we wanted to get off the beaten path. He was overly accommodating and took us on the perfect custom trip! He was so knowledgeable about all the places we visited and took us to some hidden gems we would have never otherwise seen. Would definitely recommend his tours.

Natalia had all of the knowledge, experience, organization and warmth that are hallmarks of a good guide. With her we learned more about Pompeii and Herculaneum than we ever would have on our own, and since it was a private tour, we covered far more ground than a large tour could have in the same time. Lunch and wine tasting at the Cantina Del Vesuvia (45€ each) made for a perfect break in the middle of the day. If you are interested in a private tour, I highly recommend this one.
