This private tour was a look at Florence from a local’s perspective, which is what we wanted. We hired Claudio to fill in a free morning during our Italy tour with a larger group. He provided us with a more personalized perspective on Florence, including a visit to the less touristy side of the Arno river. Claudio really engages with us personally, rather than giving a set piece presentation. He treated us to coffee in a beautiful historic café and entertained us with all sorts of stories. It was a great way to spend a couple of hours in Florence.

Florence day trip
Marilisa did a wonderful job of showing us a snapshot of the city that we did not get on our regularly scheduled tour. She is.a.delightful person and very.engaging. Not even the rain could dampen her spirits.

Whispering Tour Guide
This was the worst tour we have ever taken. Our tour guide, alessandro, was nice, but we could not hear or understand anything he was saying. We asked him multiple times to speak up and reiterated that we could not hear or understand him, but he made no changes. My husband and I are both in our 30s and not hard of hearing, and we could only manage to understand a few words here and there. Additionally, there was nothing unique about this tour. We visited the typical tourist spots and no “local” knowledge was provided. It was not what we expected from a private tour and we were very dissatisfied with the overall experience.

Hello Shelby,
Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback with us. I’m truly sorry to hear that the experience fell so far short of what you were expecting.
We understand how disappointing it must have been, particularly after you had let your host know that you were having difficulty hearing and understanding him. We’re also sorry that the experience didn’t feel as personal or local as you had hoped. This is certainly not the kind of experience we want our guests to have, and we sincerely apologize for letting you down.
We’ve taken internal action, and our Global Host Manager has addressed this with the host to help prevent a similar situation from happening again. Our team would truly love another opportunity to make things right and deliver the exceptional experience you deserve.
Warm regards,
Sheenah and the City Unscripted team

We had a fabulous time...
We had a fabulous time with Gianmarco! Both my husband and I had been to Florence before and wanted to see some things we had not seen before. Gianmarco showed us around the city highlighting some interesting new spots for us. Being with a Florence local gave us a fun perspective of the city, its culture, and its history. We are very grateful for our experience and would recommend it to future travelers!

A beautiful day in Florence
The experience with Valmi was excellent! She was prompt, kind, fun, and very generous with her time and talents. The length and level of depth that she covered was more than expected. We received so much detail on Florentine history and culture. It was a highlight of our trip and we feel very fortunate to have had the opportunity to tour with Valmi.

Tour with Claudio
Claudio was great! We had some unexpected illness with one of our members on the trip and Claudio not only helped us get her back to our hotel, he also stayed longer and took us around sampling Firenze's best and sharing history of the city. He even helped carry our bags! He was incredibly nice and helpful, we enjoyed our time.
