Daria was a wonderful guide taking us on a 3 hour private tour of the Naples. We requested to see some of authentic Naples, first, so she took us down some streets where we saw a truer side of Naples, with barely a tourist in sight! We then saw some of the sites in the historic center. As a native of Naples, Daria was able to give us so much information about Naples, that you can't necessarily read about in the tourist guides. Our family of three (including a 12-year-old) began our two-week Italian holiday with her 3-hour "Centro Storico" tour, and it was the best decision we could have made. Donatella met us promptly at our hotel in Piazza Bellini and led us through the heart of the city. Strolling down Via Dei Tribunali and the iconic Spaccanapoli was a sensory delight—everything you imagine Naples to be, from the colorful laundry fluttering overhead to the incredible aromas of local cuisine. We visited the historic San Lorenzo Maggiore and the stunning Santa Chiara, where we were even lucky enough to catch a glimpse of a beautiful bride arriving for her wedding! We finished the tour taking in the grandeur of Galleria Umberto and Piazza del Plebiscito. What truly set this tour apart, however, was Donatella herself. Having just arrived from California the day before, my husband and son were struggling with major jet lag and were, admittedly, a bit disengaged at first. Donatella was incredibly gracious and patient. She went above and beyond to connect with my tween, and once they discovered their mutual love for Pokémon and video games, the energy completely shifted! Seeing my son open up and engage with the city was a highlight for me. Donatella is deeply knowledgeable and fiercely proud of the Campania region. Since we visited around Christmas, she shared fascinating insights into local holiday traditions that we never would have learned otherwise. Roberto was my guide for my 3 hour walking tour of Naples. He was fantastic, and tailored the tour to what I wanted - history and culture of Naples. I had a wonderful time, and would recommend him highly. At the end of the tour he suggested I visit the San Lorenzo Maggiore church and the Roman and Greek ruins beneath it, and it was an excellent suggested. I capped off my morning with a tour of that site, a perfect ending.
