Our guide was a kind person so I hate to write this review, but it is what it is. He was just a random guy. I feel like he lives in the area and thought, sure, I’ll be a guide to make some money.” He had no plan. He had no books or printed information. He took us to the Sapporo brewery but the museum was closed (he said he didn’t know it was closed - he obviously didn’t check). He didn’t seem overly knowledgeable in the area or Japanese culture, or at least he was not eager to share knowledge if he had it. His English was passable, but barely so. I could have read a few Wikipedia articles and learned more than he shared in the FIVE hours we spent with him, even with my prompting. I wouldn’t recommend this guide or service. They’re just a broker who connects you to a random person who signed up to be a “guide”. It was an incredibly poor use of money. I am disappointed.

Good tour of downtown Sapporo. Leo was knowledgeable and customized the tour for our preferences. Good value for the price.

Had a wonder time with Shiunn, she showed me everything from the history of Sapporo to the hidden gems. She showed me great food, beautiful gardens and unforgettable places. Not only that but she also gave me some great advice on how to navigate and how I should be dining. Shes very knowledgeable, very kind and even let me take my time to really take in certain spots. I highly recommend her to everyone! Thank you Shiunn!

Emilio was a wonderful guide! He customized our tour to fit our personalities and age. Being older we skipped some of the traditional sites and saw more intimate locations and got more of a better sense of life in Sapporo. Walking through the forests and eating the buckwheat treats was so special. Many thanks to Emilio!

We had a wonderful tailored walking tour with Shiunn who has an obvious passion for Sapporo and was quick to pick up on our interests. We had a lovely spontaneous tea ceremony at a tea shop which she proposed when she heard it was my husbands birthday and that he loved tea. A fabulous way to see the city when first arriving.

Emi, our tour guide and life-long Sapporo resident, was spectacular in her preparation for our half-day walking tour of Sapporo. You could sense the pride and passion Emi has for her city. She allowed us to experience hanami.......I will not be able to thank her enough for providing us this very special opportunity. Tornado potatoes will mean WAY more to her and us after our time together happened to coincide with actual tornado warnings back home!

We had a great tour of Sapporo with our guide. She showed us some of the more well-known areas of the city, as well as the history of the indigenous community in this area. She was very knowledgeable! Our lunch spot (soup curry) was fantastic, and she knew food spots to satisfy all our hopes for the trip.

Leo made our short stay in Sapporo one to never forget. He really customized it to our preferences and was enjoyable to talk to as well. We felt we got a local experience with outstanding food and drinks. Certainly hope to go back for longer!

Shiunn was very knowledgable and friendly! We had a great time trying food we would have otherwise not been able to find ourselves. It was an experience I would highly recommend for anyone visiting Sapporo.

My partner and I were fortunate enough to spend a half day in Sapporo recently with Shiunn. She was wonderful. We had a few ideas of what to see and she turned that into a delightful afternoon of sightseeing and chatting. Shiunn speaks excellent English and has great juju. Just book a tour with her, you’ll be glad you did.
