This was a really bad experience. Guide was not a local, did not speak proper English nor German and had no clue about the history of the city. We needed to leave the private tour because we felt also very uncomfortable in his presence. Not professional. Do not book.

Berlin Private Custom Tour with Darren
Doing a tour of Berlin with Darren was a fantastic experience! He was extremely punctual, friendly, and brought a super fun energy to the tour. In addition to mastering the city's history, he shared amazing facts and curiosities that made everything very dynamic and engaging. It's clear how much he loves what he does. Incredible to get to know Berlin like this
That Berlin is full of history and books to see and Nick is incredibly cultured and kind
He takes you at the pace you require and showed us many very interesting places that you would only see with a local.

Can't recommend....
Can't recommend.
We had a very pleasant three hour walk through Berlin but not the experience we requested.
In advance of the tour, I used the City Unscripted message board to ask for a focus on history, architecture and art on the route between Brandenburg Gate and Alexanderplatz - essentially the standard group tourist route but with a more personalised experience - as I'd been to Berlin several times over the years but my partner hadn't.
Our guide was a lovely person and a good walking companion but we learned very little about the history and sites of the city.
Other specialised tour experiences we had made up for that in part, but I feel like we really missed out and would've learned more in a larger group - at a fraction of the cost.
If you do consider booking this, I can only recommend you make sure the person proposed as your guide has the qualifications to make your experience the one you expect, whether it be in history or art or anything else.

Our tour guide Nick did an awesome job! Very worthwhile!
Our tour guide Nick did an awesome job. We asked him to try to focus on and show us places that would NOT be on a tour we would take the next day about the 3rd Reich. He really lived up to the request and we saw many cool things and learned so much from him. Definitely a 5 out 5 stars!

Amazing behind the scenes tour of Berlin with Loulia
Loulia completely customized the tour to my interests, finding ways to blend history, nature and cool off the beaten path parts of Berlin. She is a very interesting person and easy to talk to which made it fun for me as a solo traveler. I highly recommend this experience - it exceeded my expectations!

Outstanding Tour Experience
We had an awesome adventure with Natalia, our private tour guide. Not only did she take the time to understand our interests and preferences, but she also put together a masterful itinerary tailored just for us. From sharing the history of the Brandenburg Gate to guiding us through the beautiful scenery and vibrant atmosphere of the Hackeschen Courtyards, every moment was memorable. She even introduced us to currywurst! It was a fantastic experience, and we would highly recommend Natalia to anyone visiting the city!

Mark was an excellent...
Mark was an excellent raconteur of history of Berlin during WWII. I liked how he brought us into the story and led us through the sites and events of wartime. Mark is extremely knowledgeable.
