Getting up early was worth it. We had a great day in Luxor. Our driver Wagdi took us reliably to Luxor in a really comfortable car. There we met our tour guide for the day, Markus. First, we went to the Karnak Temple, and there Markus conscientiously provided us with all the necessary knowledge. Amazing, these huge columns. Next followed the Valley of the Kings, the Mortuary Temple of Hatshepsut, and the Colossi of Memnon. The subsequent boat trip on the Nile to the lunch spot was very relaxing. Everything was once again organized great. A highly recommended excursion.

We were in Luxor yesterday with fun und sun Reisen. We had already booked very easily from Germany via WhatsApp. Payment in euros at the end of the day. Pick-up took place super punctually early at 4 AM. Our small group consisted of a total of 4 people, which made the trip very pleasant. The drive from Makadi Bay takes a good 3.5 hours. There was also a short break to stretch our legs or have breakfast. In Luxor, Markus, our tour guide, joined us; he provided us with lots of interesting information throughout the day and guided us confidently, in very good German, through the hustle and bustle. He also always found a quiet corner, and all our questions were answered. The day was super well-organized. Since it was very warm yesterday, we completed the sightseeing program in the morning and had lunch in a nice restaurant in the early afternoon after a short, relaxing Nile cruise. We were back at the hotel at approximately 7 PM. We would absolutely recommend this excursion. Markus did his job very well, and our two drivers were also safe and reliable and provided us perfectly with drinks. No sales event took place.

A quick note beforehand: The excursion to Luxor absolutely met our expectations. The team at Sun and Fun reisen was very helpful in advising us on the various excursions and always responded quickly and kindly. We were picked up at the hotel by our two drivers right on time as agreed. They took turns driving throughout the day. The minibus was in impeccable condition, and both drivers were very friendly and drove safely and properly. Our guide Marcus joined us in Luxor. He was very friendly and a very competent Egyptologist. He explained Egyptian history to us in perfect German and explained the temples and tombs to us. He was also always able to answer our questions well. We felt very well taken care of by him throughout the day. As described in the offer, there were no sales events; instead, we spent the entire time at the archaeological sites and took a short Nile cruise (this, too, was free of any sales nonsense). We had a great day, just as we had hoped for. It was definitely worth every euro! We are glad to have booked the excursion with Sun and Fun Reisen. Many thanks to the entire team.

We were picked up at the hotel at 4 a.m. by our two drivers. Arriving in Luxor, we picked up the German-speaking tour guide and Egyptologist Markus and then drove directly to the Temple of Karnak. There, Markus managed well to stop away from the large groups as much as possible and share a lot of interesting information with us. Next up was the visit to the Valley of the Kings. Tour guides are not allowed to talk inside the tombs themselves. Markus therefore always did that beforehand and then let us visit the tombs ourselves in peace. We relied completely on Markus here for which tombs we should look at, and as a result, we saved the additional costs for admission to, for example, the tomb of Tutankhamun. Afterwards, we also visited the Mortuary Temple of Hatshepsut and drove past the Colossi of Memnon. In our opinion, it was also perfectly sufficient to view them from the car. We then had a very delicious meal at a small, local restaurant. French fries were even made especially for the children. The food was very delicious and far away from typical tourist spots. To finish, there was a ride on a motorboat on the Nile. Here, too, we were on our own again, and our daughter was even allowed to steer the motorboat. Our guide Markus told us a lot about the history and legends as well as some very interesting facts. That was also interesting for the kids, e. G.: "How does a stone that weighs approx. 10 tons even get that far up, without a crane at all?" He also showed us what the hieroglyphs of the first letters of our names look like, and the kids were then able to look for where these can be found everywhere. It was also very interesting that the "stories" that Markus told, for example, in the Karnak Temple, were then also confirmed at the other sightseeing locations. There were no extra stops at sales events, as was promised to us in advance. And for the bathroom stop during the drive, the drivers chose very clean options. Thanks for this as well. **Tips:** * Take a pillow, a blanket, or a sweater with you so that you can sleep well in the car during the approx. 4-hour drive. * Drinks (water and cola) are available in sufficient quantities and chilled in the car. * We would definitely book a privately guided tour again. * We are also happy to recommend Markus as a tour guide. * Order a breakfast to go at the hotel the day before. We contacted the agency before our vacation, and everything worked out great. Communication with the staff was fast and uncomplicated. The pickup worked perfectly. We were picked up from our hotel around 4:15 AM. The driver was very friendly. What is not mentioned here is that all tourists traveling to Luxor had to go to the police station in the morning. (Registration, pass control) After about half an hour of waiting, we really got going... That morning, we could also enjoy the partial lunar eclipse during the drive. After an hour, a short break was scheduled, then we continued. In Luxor, we met up with our guide "Markus". By 8:45, we were already at our first stop, "Karnak Temple". Markus explained the 30 dynasties of the pharaohs to us in great detail, as well as details about the history of the temple that are not mentioned in a normal tour! Markus also explained to us how to read the sign language of the Egyptians (it was really cool)... The second stop on the plan was the Valley of the Kings. Here, too, Markus again explained the different ruling styles and details about the burial sites in depth. We visited the tombs of Ramses IV, Merenptah, and Ramses III. Many people think that visiting the tombs at 40 degrees is too exhausting. Yes, it was, but since there was little to nothing going on, we were almost alone in the burial chamber. No pushing, no waiting, just enjoying it. As the third stop, we drove to the Hatshepsut Temple. Here, too, we were again impressed by our guide "Markus" and his knowledge. The lunch together and the boat trip on the Nile were the crowning finale of an impressive, eventful day. We would like to express our thanks once again to our guide "Markus" and our driver. The numerous police checkpoints on the way to Luxor and back, as well as the transport of a mobile phone from one police checkpoint to the next, rounded off the experience.

Perfectly organized all around. The recommendation for Sun and Fun came from an acquaintance, and I am extremely grateful for the tip. From the first contact via email to WhatsApp, everything was very friendly and in German, with good advice, and in the end, when we had to change our plans on short notice, it was no problem at all. The excursion itself exceeded all expectations. At first, I was a bit worried about taking the private tour alone as a woman with my daughter, but those thoughts were completely unfounded. And I would choose this tour operator again and again. Everything was perfectly planned out. Wagdi, our driver, picked us up on time, and while he kept things interesting with his stories about Luxor, we were greeted by our Egyptologist, Markus, in very good German. He explained everything wonderfully, had a lot of background information for us, and showed us things that other groups were simply led past. Given the time of year, it was quite warm, but in return, we didn't have as many other tourists around us. In the Valley of the Kings, we were lucky enough to be able to see one of the tombs all by ourselves. After the very good lunch (soup, curry, rice, tahini, bread, salad, chicken), we were even treated to ice cream for our boat trip on the Nile. A perfect conclusion to an all-around successful excursion into Egyptian history. Unfortunately, we didn't have time to visit the pyramids, so this will certainly not be our only vacation here. Our next excursion in Egypt will definitely be through this tour operator again.

Hello, thank you very much for the wonderful day. Everything went smoothly from the pickup to the return. The transfer in the minibus was very comfortable, the two drivers were absolutely friendly and brought us safely to and from. They even organized a 2. Loading drinks, as the first one was already drunk due to the heat. Markus, our guide, was great. He guided us informatively through the day and conveyed Egyptian history with knowledge and many details - in very good German. In addition to excellent detailed knowledge, he also gave us good tips and made the overall (super hot) day enjoyable. We were able to customize the visited places according to our wishes when booking. Sun & Fun was really very flexible here, and Markus implemented it wonderfully. A great day. Unfortunately, the tour to Luxor from Hurghada did not meet my expectations. The organization was unsatisfactory: travel time was much longer than promised and the programme was too compressed, which prevented full enjoyment of the attractions. The guide was not very attentive and did not provide enough information. I hope the company will improve the quality of its tours in the future.
