Wine tasting was great. It was not a tour, we just had a nice car drop us off to explore on our own. This was not what I was expecting.

My family and I Went to Italy over the past 2 1/2 weeks and had an absolutely amazing time. I think it went so well because we utilized a company called touring Italy to help us with our land & sea transportation as well as several excursions thru-out our trip. The gentleman that owns it is Roberto D’Alessandro. Everything that he suggested and put together for us worked out great. All of the people that he utilized for our journey, were extremely professional and always on time. That says a lot about a company and the man behind the company. The long and short of it is that I would recommend them to anybody considering outside help rather than doing it on your own.

Had a great time. The Driver was very nice and provided great information about the area. Wish there was more time to enjoy the towns. The Winery was pretty, but maybe a little too touristy.

My family had a wonderful day on this tour! The suggested itinerary in the Viator description was good, and our driver Carlo gave suggestions and personal touches that made the day absolutely perfect. The Tenuta Torciano winery was a medium sized vineyard with a delicious 3 course meal, and a chance to taste 7 different wines. The car we rode around with was clean and spacious. Exactly what our family of 4 needed to explore the Tuscan region.

I cannot recommend Roberto and Touring Italy enough! He created a trip beyond our expectations. He took all of the stress out of planning and scheduling, but more importantly he connected us with the best guides in all of Italy. It was incredible to learn about the history, culture, and food though a local and an expert. Each perfectly personalized everything, and kept our girls well engaged. In Florence, Elena was fantastic. She knew so much, so many people and would take us into little shops to meet a local artisan who was so special because of their craft. She immersed us into the Florentine culture, something we never would have been able to do without her. I think she’s a celebrity too, because everyone seemed to know her and love her 😊. She was beyond fantastic at guiding us through the Accademia, Pitti, Boboli gardens, Uffizi and the walk through the city to taste all of the amazing food. We even went back to the lunch restaurant for dinner because it was so good. Thanks to you, we were so fortunate to have her as our guide! Our driver though Tuscany, Maximiliano, was also fantastic, he was very professional, guided us through the beautiful countryside and explained the history of the towns and buildings. He stopped for perfect photo opportunities and also made good recommendations for gelato and shops. We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Tenuta Torciano. Their wines were fantastic as well as the food. It’s a beautiful winery and Luca was the perfect host. Not only did we do the tasting, he brought additional wines to sample and spent time with us, we felt like special guests. In Rome, we enjoyed our time with Elena, learning about the Forum, Palatine Hill and Colosseum. She was also knowledgeable and was able to connect the past with the current time by showing us ruins and then pictures of how it might have looked before. And lastly, Christiaan was phenomenal as well. We learned about the history, art and architecture. It was so so crowded and he navigated us well, taking us to the most significant places and best views of everything including the Sistine Chapel and St Peters Basillica. Like Elena in Florence he was an expert in everything, explaining things through stories. Even my youngest who doesn’t love museums enjoyed his and her tours. I cannot thank Roberto enough for creating this experience and new family memories. We will always cherish this trip - especially the time with Elena and Christiaan. I will absolutely recommend Touring Italy to anyone traveling to Italy. We are hoping to travel to Southern Italy in the future, and will absolutely us Roberto when time to plan!

Well worth the expense. If can afford it, do it. Our driver was Mauro. He was great at explaining the history and unique features of the area without overwhelming us. He was also great with our 14 year old, engaging him at all times. He gave us plenty of time and freedom to explore every stop. The wine tasting was excellent without being overwhelming on the sale side.

Our trip was a little slow to start, the driver could not meet us at the ship with the other tour guides. We finally met him outside the pier. He was very professional and pleasant, but very quiet. Which made us feel a little uneasy about where we were going first etc. I would recommend for a VIP tour to offer bottled water in the vehicle. Enjoyed each stop. Tenuta Torciano was a nice winery but be careful as we purchase 6 bottles to be shipped to the USA. We were assured, no shipping fee as they have a warehouse in Illinois. The prices were in Euros and Alberto at the winery took it upon himself to run our credit card in US dollars. The conversion was majorly not in our favor. We ended up paying about $50 more due to the winery doing the currency conversion instead of the bank. When questioned, he explained but never told us in advance. You wouldn’t think to ask this, but make sure you ask to have credit card run in Euros.

The city is breathtaking beautiful! Using private guides enhanced the experience and allowed to see more at our own paise and our interests. The food is great but mainly with not the fantastic service, but very friendly, which compensated. Visiting San Gimignano was a highlight of the trip. Absolutely a must! Tuscany is beautiful, every turn opens a mesmerizing view. Adding to it very nice Chianti is a plus. The apartment we rented through VRBO was really very nice, very clean and perfectly located few steps from Ponte Vecchio. The whole center easily reached by walking. The owners were very accommodating and helpful. Thank you Susanne and Leonardo.

Our driver was wonderful. He was friendly, polite and respectful and drove very calmly, which we very much appreciated. He showed us where to go in Siena and San Gimignano which was helpful. The lunch and wine tasting we had was very good. The only comment I would make (and this is absolutely no reflection on our driver) is that this tour was very expensive and did not represent value for money in our opinion.

We will never travel to Italy again without contacting Roberto of Touring Italy. He arranged every detail of our visit to Rome and throughout Tuscany and it could not have been better. All of his suggestions for places to stay, dining and activities were outstanding. He took us to medieval towns where there were hardly any other tourists where we found wonderful art and of course, gelato. He and my wife arranged a surprise helicopter ride from a spectacular winery, and arranged for me to drive a Ferrari through Maranello - what a dream come true that experience was. We never waited in line and always felt like VIPs with him. He knows the best places to go so you can eat, drink and explore like a local. Cannot wait to explore more regions of Italy with Touring Italy, Roberto is My Guy!!!!- Fino alla prossima volta - grazie mille!
