I am not a fisherman. My father was, and my father-in-law. My 14 year old son is and my 11 year old daughter is happy to take fish off hooks and tear worms apart with her bare hands. They had an absolute blast ice fishing for 5 hours, inside and outside of the nice cozy cabin right out on the frozen lake. My daughter caught the most (35+), and my son caught the two biggest fish of the day. There were plenty for the two other families that booked the same slot. The guide cooked delicious reindeer sausages, and then fried up the fish we caught (king salmon, silver salmon, and rainbow trout) which was incredible. The guide (Noah) was on top of it the whole time, taking care of the kids ( and adults) who didn't know how to fish and making sure everyone was having a good time. We'll definitely be doing it again next time we come to Alaska!

I have never been ice fishing before and wasn't a big fan of fishing. However, Trevor made my first ice fishing experience fantastic. I caught fish, ate a reindeer sausage and enjoyed some of the fish we caught. Trevor is a wonderful cook!!

This wasn’t my first time fishing, but it was my first time ice fishing, and Trevor made it an incredible experience. After a quick introduction and demonstration, even beginners will feel like pros in no time. Trevor is extremely knowledgeable and, on top of that, an amazing cook. I don’t eat pork so I didn’t try the reindeer sausages myself, but I heard great reviews . When it was time to eat the fish, he let’s you choose our own seasoning—I went with the orange pepper, and it was absolutely delicious. The four hours flew by because I was having so much fun. I’d definitely love to come back and try the night ice fishing experience next time!

Trevor was an awesome guide! We caught 103 fish as a group of 4 not including the fish that Trevor caught. We had a bald eagle land just feet away from us that watched us fish. She was absolutely beautiful!! 10/10 recommend!

Way better than expected. Trevor was super friendly and patient. He made our experience so unforgettable. Initially I thought the 4hours??? That is so long!! At the end, I realized I did not want to stop. I wanted to do more. We caught close to 40 fish. My entire family loved it.

Had never ice fished before so I was quite excited to do this activity. The heated hut was quite chilly. The reindeer sausage was very tasty cooked over a grill. They drilled holes outside so you could fish inside or outside. I actually found it warmer outside! The part where I was disappointed actually has nothing to do with the tour. The lake is stocked with fingerling salmon that never have a chance to grow up. The average size of the fish caught was maybe 6 inches. Hardly worth grilling!!!! If I'm going ice fishing, I'd like to catch a much bigger fish! There are Port a potties!

Best excursion of our Fairbanks trip! Trevor was amazing and did everything he could to make sure we had a great experience! My husband and I caught roughly 20 fish total between the two of us. We also got to fish outside for a little bit which felt more authentic. The grilled fish and reindeer sausage was amazing. As a bonus, Trevor fed a local bald eagle and it came up close to us so we got incredible pictures of the bald eagle up close! Lastly, the group that was supposed to join us didn’t make it, so it was a private excursion for us! Do the morning fishing, the fish are more active and it’s worth it.

This experience was 10 out of 10. Colton, our guide, was phenomenal. He was friendly, helpful, and very knowledgeable. The fish was seasoned perfectly. This is a kid friendly experience that I cannot recommend enough. Both of my kids had a blast. If you are on the fence, go ahead and book this experience. You will not be disappointed.

Amazing experience. Easy to find location. Nice and warm fishing shed. All the gear and bait supplied. We had indoor and outdoor fishing options. Reindeer sausage cooked onsite was tasty. We caught 3-4 fish each. Salmon and trout. A few families were there with us and the kids were having a blast. They caught more than we did! Plus there was a bald eagle that came down to enjoy the fish heads. Got really close and made for great pictures. Our guide, Trevor, did a fantastic job and was very friendly and knowledgeable. He prepared the fish we caught and grilled them right there. Tasty and perfectly flavored. 100% would recommend.
