Irina, our guide, was outstanding as she took us through the wonders of Bargello. Her knowledge of the subject matter was matched by her appreciation and passion for it. All of this, combined with effective techniques like occasionally sharing related photos from her IPad, enhanced the experience for us and brought it to life so to speak.

Alda was awesome, so knowledgeable and fun to listen to. Her enthusiasm for her subject matter was infectious. We got to see all the highlights of the museum in a short time without feeling as if we had missed anything. We felt like students with a really fun teacher. Being a private tour allowed us to get as much as possible out of it. Highly recommended!

Irina Emchenko is a terrific private guide. My husband and I hired her to give us four private tours in Florence, of which the Bargello was one. We learned much more from Irina than we would have on our own. Her knowledge of the history of Florence was impressive, and her details about the individual artists who carved the marble statues were fascinating. Irina is a briliiant tour guide and I received so much knowledge and information about the Bargello und the art exhibited in this wonderful place. In my opinion this place is a must to visit and especially with Irina as she tells the story and facts about the Bargello in a very vivid and fascinating manner that have kept my whole attention for the 2 hours of the tour. The way how Irina passes on the history iand explains the art and artists really comes to life and evokes the feeling of wanting to know more about the great time of the Renaissance and Florence.
It’s not the first time I ask Irina to give me a tour. Every time I come to Florence she offers me a new program! This time we went to Bargello and it was a great experience! I chose the earliest time when the museum opens and it was the best decision - we were the only visitors in the Hall of Michelangelo! Perfect way to see the birth of the Renaissance! Irina showed me the sculptures of Donatello, Brunelleschi, Michelangelo and of course she told me lots of stories! Really recommend this tour!
