A wonderful afternoon with Elena! She has been a guide for over 20-years and knows her stuff! She is very knowledgeable and patient with requests and questions. There was an unexpected downpour of rain just when the tour was about to start. We waited the storm out in a retail shop, then shortly after the storm passed, Elena made her way to us so we could start the tour. This threw off the order of the tour, but Elena did not miss a beat. While the tour was late getting starting, Elena provided the full tour. She was very accommodating and we are appreciative of her! She elaborated on things as we hoped for and we left the tour so much more knowledgeable of Romania’s history. An added bonus for us was the “field trip” to Parcul Carol where we saw the tomb of the unknown soldier, the changing of the guards, among other things. We took a tram on the way, and the subway on the way back. Loved experiencing the local transportation too! Thank you Elena for a wonderful educational experience!

Very interesting tour, highly recommended! Elena explained so much to us about the communist era and its effects to this day in a competent and entertaining way.

Even if you are the only one booking, the trip goes through. That is super fun because you can ask all the questions you want. The history was told briefly and concisely using plasticized photos, so you could also form an image of it. In addition, the tour also went by public transport to a monument in a park. And we stopped at a small cafe for a drink. Varied and interesting tour! Definitely book!!

A 3 hour tour with Elena which flew by as she made it so interesting providing fascinating insights into the communist era and beyond - no dry statistics here!
