Erik and his dad were fantastic.
Erik was knowledgeable and informative without ever being overbearing, giving us a great history of Maui while weaving in his own experiences and stories from the island. It felt natural and conversational rather than like a scripted tour.
His dad, who is 84, was an unexpected highlight. He is funny, full of stories, and definitely has the gift of gab. The two of them together gave the day a really personal feel that you just wouldn’t get driving the Road to Hana on your own.
The beautiful stops obviously speak for themselves, but having Erik and his dad provide the history, stories and local perspective along the way made the experience that much better.
Our whole family had a great time. Highly recommend.

A memorable Road to Hana family experience
Erik and his dad were fantastic.
Erik was knowledgeable and informative without ever being overbearing, giving us a great history of Maui while weaving in his own experiences and stories from the island. It felt natural and conversational rather than like a scripted tour.

Beautiful Way to Spend the Day in Maui
We had a beautiful ride in a comfortable van with Eric along the Road to Hana on Tuesday. It was a priceless experience to be with a smart, local gentleman who knows the waterfalls, views, surfing, fauna, wildlife, history and cultural charm of Maui…and enjoys sharing his knowledge with curious tourists like us. He gave us a nice blend of drive-bys and stops that maximized our time on the tour. Highlights for us were seeing over a dozen large sea turtles, swimming in the waterfall and Eric’s perfect jackknife jump, seeing a couple of mongooses for the first time (Rikki-Tikki), and learning about the local lifestyle on Maui. Eric also made sure that we were back in plenty of time for our cruise ship departure. After researching so many tours ahead of time, we felt fortunate to have found this opportunity where we felt very safe on the entire journey…and also finished the day thinking- that was so much fun!!

Tour guide was extremely...
Tour guide was extremely knowledgeable and personable. He took us to get some amazing banana bread and great views. We ended the day at a beautiful waterfall which was private to just our tour group. 10/10 would recommend.

Magical and Private Experiences

Great day on the road to Hana!
Eric was wonderful! A great driver who knew lots about the island and history of the road to Hana! We happened to be the only ones booked for the day so he tailored the trip to what we wanted most! We got to see wildlife, eat delicious Banana bread from Aunt Sandy’s, and experience some great stops on the road to Hana!

Halfway to Hana

Wonderful personal excursion
This trip was perfect for us since it was only about 6 hours ( half way to Hana). Having a few mobility issues, this was great.

Great experience
Eric was fantastic! Very knowledgeable, accommodating, and friendly. He took us to beautiful spots and patiently took photos for us and answered all our varied questions. Would highly recommend!
