We booked this trip for 7 people but were disappointed that we never got to see Portofino, due to weather. The barge was not running that brings you from the mainland to Portofino. Small buses also did not work. Our tour operator did not have a contingency plan in place for 20 people. It was not acceptable because we are from the US.

On that day the maritime connection between the mainland and Portofino was suspended by the local authorities due to the weather conditions, and the alternative road transport was affected for the same reason. These are decisions taken by third parties for safety reasons, entirely beyond our control, and we are simply not permitted to operate a service that the authorities have suspended. The safety of our guests will always come first. We understand your disappointment, particularly having travelled such a long way, and our staff on site did their best to make the most of the day within the limits of a situation none of us could foresee or prevent. Useless waste of money and time 🤬
There was no guided tour , only free time , the boat cruise was cancelled, wasted 1hour waiting for the bus, never turned up , exhausted walking to the train station, no bus either, then again free time in St margarita, no guided tour, a total waste of time and money, useless day , asked for a refund, no one bothered to reply 🤬

This experience is designed as a scenic day trip with guided transfers and free time to explore Genoa and Santa Margherita at your own pace; it is not sold as a fully guided walking tour, and the itinerary is described in full at the time of booking. As for the boat cruise, it was cancelled by the maritime operator for safety reasons linked to the sea and weather conditions on the day, a decision entirely outside our control. Our staff remained on site to assist and to organise the return as best as possible in the circumstances. We understand your frustration, but the weather-related cancellation of a third-party service is not something any operator can foresee, prevent or be held responsible for. Portofino tour
Tour was ok but the driver drove like a crazy man consequently I got car sick other than that the day was ok

Fun trip!
We had a great time traveling with Andrea and Luigi to Genoa and Portofino. Our kids had a wonderful time swimming and kayaking. Dinner in Portofino was so good!

Great
The genoa was for 1 hour only a 1 walk in the city centre as planned but genoa is a big city could have more than 1 hour
The Rapallo is a small town where we spent more time better to reduce the time here and increase in genoa
Portofino is a very beautiful and scenic place spent quality time it reminds me of a place in India near pune lavasa which was conceptualized on the basis of this small town from italy
The ferry to and fro was average can improve on the quality of the same for tourist it was the general ferry used for regular commute so not much exciting

Great trip, but prepare for a long day. If I had any suggestions it would be less time in Genoa, little less time at the rest stops and more time in Portofino. But all in all a great trip.

Genoa & Portofino
Beautiful seaside towns and churches; we felt we had plenty of time to explore the highlights and grab a bite to eat; waters were rough that day, but Monica and company worked with boat company all morning and managed to get notification of a last minute boat, allowing us to view the coastline, rather than travel by bus, which was so gorgeous. Monica was fun and engaging, as well as, knowledgeable with many tips and suggestions; great driving by Oscar- it ended up being a great day! Thanks all!
