Her English was exceptional as was her memory for world and local history. Dubrovnik is Vesna’s hometown and her cultural understanding is unequaled. We had a group of 6 so decided on a 3 hour private walking tour of Dubrovnik Old Town. We used WithLocals and Marko was our guide. The commentary covered history from a Croatian perspective (which of course contrasts with what we heard when we went to Bosnian on a day trip later in the trip). The tour was very good. It does not include walking the walls of the city. Since Dubrovnik gets many cruise ships during the season, I would recommend a tour early afternoon and then you can walk the walls (1 to 1.5 hours) when many of the cruise ships have returned to their ships.
