We had a great afternoon walking tour of Kanazawa with Yasushi. He guided us through some of the city’s most interesting places, including the geisha district, the samurai district, Kanazawa Castle and the beautiful Kenroku-en Garden. Yasushi was friendly, knowledgeable and engaging, sharing interesting stories and explanations along the way that helped us better understand Kanazawa’s history and culture. Definitely recommended!

Yasushi is a wonderful guide with a lot of energy and passion for Kanazawa. During our stroll around the city he showed us both the most important landmarks, such as Kenrokuen gardens, the castle or the Geisha district. I would really recommend this tour!

Yasushi was an amazing guide - he used to be a school teacher and that experience makes him a perfect guide to learn about the city, its history and the Japanese culture in general - in a very digestible and fun way! He helped us see the small details of Kanazawa that make the city so beautiful (and safe! ;) The tour is very well organized with comfortable stops to sit down and take a break, so the 3 hour walking tour feels like a beautiful stroll without any effort. I learnt so much about Japan, Kanazawa and the Japanese way of life’s appreciation of art and respect of their culture - leaving this experience absolutely inspired and energized! Definitely recommend 10/10!

yasushi-san was such an amazing guide!! he explained all of the history behind the sites we visited extremely well — he was greatly descriptive, expressive, and admirably energetic, especially considering the hot weather we were walking in. he was super easy-going, kind, and lovely to converse with, which truly made this tour as amazing as it was.
