ツアーは足軽博物館への訪問から始まります。足軽とは下級武士を表す言葉で、ここでは武士の時代に足軽家が所有していた2軒の家に入ることができます。外には美しい景観があり、部屋の中は忠実に保存されており、昔ながらの日本の生活を垣間見ることができます。
次に、長町として知られるかつての武家地区を案内します。ここの街路は今でもその美しい姿を保っており、訪れた人は、なんだか昔の日本に来たような気分になってしまうかもしれません。通りには地元の工芸品を販売する店がたくさんあるので、ウィンドウ ショッピングでお土産を買うこともできます。
武家地区を後にし、ガイドが尾山神社を通って金沢城へ向かいます。日本のほとんどの神社とは異なり、ここの参門はレンガで作られており、そのユニークな歴史を物語る珍しい選択となっています。神社の裏手から城に向かう途中には、小さいながらも美しい庭園を通ります。
城内に入ると、目の前に広がる何世紀も続く庭園を眺めながら、次は抹茶体験の時間。 茶室「玉泉庵」は、和のデザインの立派さで、抹茶や和菓子も喜ばれそうだ。 （この茶屋では時々イベントがあるので、別の茶屋に行って抹茶とお菓子をいただきます） その後、昼食の時間もあります！
兼六園へ向かう途中、金沢城の敷地内を巡ります。城内の広大な芝生の上に堂々とそびえ立つ復元された建物のスケールに驚嘆しながら、ガイドが金沢の武士の歴史とその富と成功の起源について少し教えてくれます。
お城を抜けると、日本の伝統的なデザインコンセプトが息をのむような展示空間に入ります。 庭園を散策したり、街の景色を楽しんだり、金沢の旧藩主夫人の家に入ったりもできる。
ひがし茶屋で伝統的な茶街と芸妓文化を味わってください。ここでは、何世紀も前からのファッショナブルな茶屋が立ち並ぶ通りに、飲食店や工芸品店がたくさんあります。ガイド付きの散策の後は自由時間があり、ここの通りを自分で散策したり、金箔を乗せたアイスクリームやたこ焼きを食べたりすることもできます。
ツアーでは次に、かつて芸妓が住んでおり、裕福な常連客が頻繁に訪れていた茶屋、または茶屋の内部に案内します。カラフルな壁や楽器は、金沢の黄金期の茶街の豊かさと魅力的な雰囲気を表しています。ガイドは芸者に関するご質問に喜んでお答えいたします。
ひがし茶屋を出て、駅に戻る途中、主計町茶街を通ります。ひがし茶屋ほど混雑していないこの茶街では、今でも芸妓が客をもてなしています。運が良ければ、小さな脇道から三味線を弾く柔らかい音が聞こえます。

We had a wonderful tour of Kanazawa with Liam. I’ve done several group tours previously and Liam is one of the best tour guides I’ve had - he provided lots of interesting information throughout the tour, gave personalised recommendations and was very considerate of our group. Pace of the tour was also great and we had the right amount of time at each location. Highly recommend this tour to everyone.

We had a great day being shown around Kanazawa by our Australian guide, Liam. He was very knowledgeable about the history of the place but also about the key points of interest in the city. This walking tour is perfect if you are only in a place like Kanazawa for a relatively short period of time (2 nights in our case). We covered a lot of ground yet never felt rushed. And Liam provided good directions for lunch in the fish/food market and great coffee after our walk around the famous Kenrokuen garden.

Great tour of Kanazawa with our wonderful guide Farida who was incredibly pleasant and knowledgable. The tour was planned excellently so that we saw all of the different districts of Kanazawa and had time to relax at each different attraction. Definitely recommend if you have a day to spend in Kanazawa!
Our guide was incredibly nice! A kind Russian lady who spoke amazing English and showed us around the area.
Andy was such a friendly and knowledgeable guide and he made the day extra enjoyable. We happened to be the only people on the tour that day, so we definitely got a personalized and private experience. It was a lot of walking in the rain but Andy made it fun and special. Lots of walking and taking shoes off and on, so dress accordingly. Highly recommend Andy and this tour company!

Awesome walking tour of Kanazawa with Farida! She was very knowledgeable about Japanese/Kanazawa landmarks and history. Farida also provided many lunch recommendations so there’s something for everyone! Personally, walking through the streets of Kanazawa while going to the tour spots only added to the experience. I would absolutely recommend this tour to anyone who wants to tour Kanazawa in a day without any extra entrance fees!
