Very nice experience, Jackey was our guide and he was a wealth of knowledge. Sadly we had just arrived the night before from a very long flight and couldn’t finish the whole tour. We were happy with the tour and would recommend. I felt it was a great way to see the Merlion without being too crowded.

We had limited time in Singapore before joining a cruise and our guide Choo was excellent taking us to some great places and his passion and enthusiasm made the tour very enjoyable

Review of KAMPONG BUANGKOK TOUR Having been to Singapore several times over the past several years, I had never dreamt of their being a “rural” side to Singaporean life. Singapore projects modernity and urban sophistication. However, on a previous trip, a concierge at the JW Marriott Singapore South Beach Hotel mentioned that the history of Singapore was more diverse than a foreign visitor would expect. He suggested a visit to a kampong to see what the "real" Singapore used to be like 35-50 years ago. After looking further into this suggestion, I became even more interested on discovering that there was only one remaining kampong in Singapore (though, I have since been told there is another kampong on an island that is part of the country). The tour of this traditional old-fashioned Singaporean rural village was excellent. Corliss, the guide, was attentive, informative, and polite. We walked around for about 2 hours. We were lucky to meet the family matriarch who “owns” all of the land on which the kampong sits. Corliss was even equipped with mosquito repellant, which was much appreciated, even though we did not encounter many mosquitoes. It was striking to see how quiet and un-bustling the neighborhood was. The houses have electricity, plumbing, telephone access (including to cellular/mobile service), and driveway/parking areas for cars. What they do not have, except for one residence, is air conditioning. This omission was particularly poignant as I was there on a very humid day. Nonetheless, it was refreshing to walk around in Singapore without seeing being pressed on all sides by aggressive crowds. While I was there, city utility workers were busy checking on the condition of the public services. In addition, I noticed that the kampong has a mosque, which is available to anyone, regardless of whether they live in the kampong or not. Perhaps the most striking part of the experience was that there are 20-story H.D.B. flats right outside the wall that is the outer perimeter of the kampong. As Corliss explained, Singapore’s history has been a steady progression of removing kampongs and replacing them with government-built apartment buildings. In ~1985, there were roughly 80 kampongs spread around the country. Corliss also provided sociological information: the results of surveys of former kampong residents recently transitioned to H.D.B. flats has generally shown that the majority of those surveyed prefer living in the H.D.B. flats. I strongly suggest this tour as it presents a fascinating and intriguing side of Singaporean life and history.

They picked us up at the cruise terminal and dropped us off at the hotel. Stopped at the fort, Chinatown, downtown with the merlion.

Corliss made our Singapore tour unforgettable. She is very professional, knowledgeable and friendly. Our driver Nicholas was very accommodating. He provided umbrellas and didn't make us wait for the car in the rain at any stop.

What an amazing 6 hour day tour we had with our guide Yong. From the very beginning he was funny, polite and so full of knowledge. Best money we spent. Saw all the major sites that we wanted to visit . Highly recommended this company. Booking was super easy too.

Our guide, Rachpal, was extremely knowledgeable and flexible. She was attentive to our wants and needs. It was clear that she loved Singapore and wanted to share her feeling about the city. She took us to major attractions as well as to places that aren't frequented by tourists. Our 1 and 1/2 days gave us a great overview of Singapore.

Absolutely superb and memorable afternoon with Tang. Showed us Singapore in 5 hours with a tour full of passion and enthusiasm. Everything was perfect from the very upscale car, the meet and greet, the sites, the sounds and Singapore. Tang is a true gentleman, a very kind and warm host and we left with fantastic memories. I wanted a private tour of Singapore, in order to think outside the box. Carliss is a fantastic guide and she knows Singapore at her fingertips and its hidden treasures. In addition, she is smiling, jovial, attentive and attentive. To recommend.
