We had an excellent daytime tour of both European & Asian sides of Istanbul from nice yacht departing from a waterside location near our Suleymaniye neighborhood hotel. Our crew had laid out a variety of snacks for us to munch on while we relaxes in the ship's comfortable stern viewing area, with custom drinks available. The weather was sunny and a bit breezy, so we were comfortable sitting outdoors. The yacht also has an enclosed viewing area, and you're allowed to walk up a level to an upper viewing platform. There's a lot to see on the shores of both sides of the Bosphorus, with many former palaces now converted to hotels, high schools & other purposes. The Bosphorus has lots of passenger & commercial traffic, so there's always something interesting to view. A relaxing way to view the city.

It was exciting to see both sides of Istanbul from the water and learn about the buildings along the way. We did not see a sunset as it was cloudy but the air was warm and the water calm. Our guide Murat was informative, funny and engaging. The snacks and drinks were well presented and sufficient. A great experience.

This trip is a must-do in Istanbul – especially if you are here on a cruise ship docked at Galataport. The sunset yacht dock is a quick 5-minute walk from Galataport. A free pickup from certain hotels and the Galataport is also offered. Our guide met us at our pickup spot to ensure we got on the right shuttle. (We would have walked had we known it was so close). The tram also stops at the Kabatas dock as another transportation option since traffic can get heavy in Istanbul. While many cruise times are offered, we intentionally choose a departure time that matched when the sun would set in Istanbul which was awesome! The tour guide was bi-lingual and did the narration in both English and Spanish. He was very knowledgeable and even offered to take ‘perfect photos’ of everyone as the sun was setting. He made the trip really fun. Many snacks and drinks were provided throughout the cruise. Each mini-course was served in a nice, plated presentation with a beverage. Every passenger was also provided a blanket at the start of the event since it does get cold on the water (dress in layers). This company thought of everything! Overall, the event far exceeded our expectations! The price was very affordable and we saw parts of Istanbul we wouldn’t have seen on our own. This sunset cruise was our favorite event of our vacation. Definitely book this cruise – you won’t be disappointed.
