Weathers are not Perfect, however we thought will be cancelled, but not. Bus is not that great. outside is pouring Bad, and Bus have so many wholes on it and it comes to straight to my hair and Body, and cloths. Day before had service in cruise for hair, and I had washed it.we went only one place.. We got all the way seat back, so we can not hear anything. Bus have no microphone, guide have so loud voice.
We had a great experience seeing the Mayan Ruins. Our guide, Eliseo, was awesome. He was very knowledgeable. We also saw monkeys swinging in the trees.
The tour guide was very nice and informative but it was nearly impossible to understand him while he was using the microphone and speaker system for those of us seated in the back of the bus. The side excursion to Mahahaul, which was optional, was nice as Mahahaul is a much larger and more authentic town than the more recently developed port area of Costa Maya. Be advised, on the boardwalk at Mahahaul there was a constant barrage of soliciters of goods and services.
This was a great adventure to the ruins via Tucan Tours. Carlos was a fabulous tour guide and Daniel the bus driver did a great job getting us around safely. We had a pretty large group, but Carlos did a good job of keeping us all rounded up and on task throughout the day. I was traveling with my 77 year young mom and Carlos made sure we knew how to get to the top via the easier set of stairs, which we both appreciated. We got lots of information about the Mayan people and how they lived. The beach was nice as well. The one big thing to remember when using Viator is to know the name of the local tour company so you can find them when you get off the boat if you are on a cruise. It is a bit overwhelming getting through the port area and having all the tour groups asking you if you need a tour. This was our first tour with Viator and didn't know we needed to look for a different name. Once that was shared with us by a local, we could more easily find our group. I printed the information and read it to the local guy and he pointed us where we needed to go as the red golf carts were not out when we got to the designated area. The Tucan Tours people were and then we were off and running. I would recommend taking a rain slicker, bug spray, a hat, water, small denomination bills for tips and treats, and a bag to carry anything you buy. Again, we had a wonderful time with Carlos and highly recommend this tour.

The tour was vey interesting and the site is impressive. I am giving four stars because the microphone on our bus was not working well and you could not hear the commentary clearly. And it did not sound like this was the first day that if happened I would recommend doing some research before you get to the site as the guide had a lot of information, but I was left wanting more. Lastly they have a large building and sign at the end of the block So they are easy to find, but that does not match any of the info ration that we were given on how to find them.
This was a great excursion once we got to our second and third destinations. I was nervous about locating the company and transportation to their office, but everything worked out well. The entire Toucan Tour staff were so kind & professional! Thanks to Antonio for an easy check-in process! Thanks to Eliseo for an excellent tour, and to Huitzi for driving us around! The food stand before entering the ruins had wonderful tacos! I truly enjoyed my experience to the ruins with this company!
Alonso, jesus, raphael were great guides. As someone who wears glasses and can’t do traditional snorkeling tours, this was great! The time went by very fast. I do wish they would have taken credit cards as it took all our cash for the pictures and tips. (We would have tipped more if we could have charged the pictures. )
The tour was great, the ruins are incredible, and the service at the company headquarters was excellent. However, we request a tour in Spanish, considering that half of the group does not speak English. The guide started the tour in English and, after being asked, tried to do it in English and Spanish at the same time, and finally no one could understand anything and the experience was very spoiled.
Awesome experience our guid Carlos was amazing and full of facts and jokes. Would recommend to everyone
