「伝承によれば、メインの教会はミアジンが降臨したエチミアジンの地に建てられました。 グレゴリウスのビジョンでは、キリストは金槌で本神殿の場所を示している。 303年に創建された世界最古の大聖堂は、アルメニア人の歴史の重要な証人となり、参加者となる運命にあった。 アルメニア教会の世界ネットワークの最も重要な中心であるエチミアジン大聖堂は、現在、多くの新旧の教会、世俗的な建造物、図書館、神学校などを含む広大な面積で表されている」
7世紀の一連の栄光ある教会は、聖フリプシメ教会よりわずか12年遅れて創建された聖ガヤネ教会へと続いている。 630年に建てられたこの教会は、アルメニアで3世紀末から4世紀初頭に亡くなったキリスト教徒の処女の墓の上に建てられ、彼女の死後約3世紀が経過した。 教会は1652年に修復された。 庭には多くの棺があり、その中にはアルメニア民族の著名な軍人や文化人の姿も見える。

It was good to have a direct transportation to the sights and to have an explanation there. Unfortunately, our guide was far from being motivated for his job or interacting with the group or making an individual approach. Maybe he doesn't like his job. I guess sharing a taxi and having the attractions looked up online would have been a way, too.

Tatev is a very atmospheric place, opened up to us through fog and thick clouds. The cable car sank in the fog, sometimes showing below the amazing landscape. Yegor, our guide, gave a very lively and detailed account of the history of the place. Then we went to Hndzoresk. An unusual place whose history stopped not so long ago. The journey was completed at a work of art created by nature itself - a majestic waterfall.

Beautiful trip not only due to the chic nature of Armenia, but also the delightful guide Yegor.
