OMG AWESOME do the late tour!!!
Our guid was awesome his name is stefen (Stephen) ours was a private tour only 7 people & the last booking of the day. Going on the evening tour means no one coming in behind you. The hallways are very open lots of room to spread out linger take pics. Other times you will be literally elbo to elbow in a nonstop bumping mob. Do the last evening your ask for Stefen and you are golden!!!!! :0)

Excellent Tour Experience
Our guide, The Tour Guy, was amazing. He combined humor with history. His storytelling was really interesting and entertaining. It was very hot, but despite the heat, it was one of the more interesting tours that we have been on. And just being in the Sistine Chapel is quite a moving experience. Highly recommend!

Excellent introduction to the museums
Lots of walking. Not too many of the areas are air conditioned. Excellent information. Best for older kids.

Great tour!
I have been on three Vatican tours and this one was the best! Our tour guide was knowledgeable and funny. She kept my seven year old engaged the entire 2 hours!

Local guide was a no-show.
The guide never showed up. We had one chance to visit, so that's why we booked the tour we did. The tour guy company did answer the phone, so that was cool, and a refund was arranged. But we were unable to see the Sistine chapel.

Great tour! Knowledgeable and enthusiastic guide.
Note: the evening tour does not include St. Peter’s Basilica. You will have to plan ahead and go there on your own before this tour as you will not finish the tour before the basilica closes. This is nothing against the tour, they make that clear. I just want others to know to communicate more effectively than I apparently did to everyone in your group so you don’t disappoint people. The Tour- this tour was great! The guide was very knowledgeable and enthusiastic which made the whole experience more enjoyable (I am not a museum person. If you are a stop and read every plaque and look at EVERY piece in the museum type person, just know you will have time to do that at the end on your own. There is a lot of ground to cover and this tour will give you the highlights.

Do not recommend it
It took us an hour and we didn't even get close to the museum. It was a huge waste of time! We would have been better off going on our own.

Please note that this specific evening itinerary does not include St. Peter's Basilica, which is why we want to make sure there was no misunderstanding regarding the route.
