Our lovely and quite knowledgeable guide, Xavier M. was a delightful good full of local historical facts and fun whimsical legends. Highly recommend… great with children!

Xavier took us on a great experience where we almost felt like locals. Bruges and it’s countryside are beautiful. Riding bicycles on designated paths is a great way to cover more area and enjoy, feeling safe. He is very organized and once you get the hang of bicycling in busy areas you feel like you belong, traveling like the locals travel. He took great care of us and it was fun.

Wonderful bike ride into the countryside of Belgium. Our guide Xavier was so knowledgeable and nice. He made the day so much fun. The ride was easy and a great way to see the nature surrounding Bruges and Damme. Highly recommend this tour if you want to get away from the crowds and enjoy the scenery and fresh air.

We had an amazing time cycling through the farm land and vineyards between Bruges and Damme. This was such a unique experience and we are so grateful to have gotten out of the Bruges city limits to experience some of the surrounding area. Our tour guide, Xavier, was awesome, very friendly, helpful, and extremely knowledgeable regarding Bruges + Damme history and culture. Overall, I would say the bike ride itself was a nice comfortable pace, with frequent stops (every 5-10 minutes) where our tour guide would explain the scenery and some piece of history from the area. The bicycle ride started at the Bruges train station and proceeded along the perimeter of Bruges before picking up along the canal leading straight to Damme. Once outside of the city, we got on side country roads / bike paths that meandered through the country / farm lands, which was incredibly peaceful and quiet. In Damme we stopped for a quick refreshment and had a brief walk around tour of the village, with great explanation of some local history from the guide. In the end, we are so grateful to have done this bicycle tour and couldn't have asked for a better guide + experience!

This was an excellent way to learn of middle age history of Brugge and Damme. We discovered things about Brugge that differed from a group tour and interesting anecdotes of the times. Xavier, our guide, was extremely knowledgeable and fun to be with. It was also nice to spin on the bikes and get into the countryside. I would highly recommend.

I was really looking forward to my private bike ride throught the countryside and was so disappointed. I booked a private ride and Xavier, the owner, asked me to come 30 minutes early so that he could accomodate another group after my ride and I did without reservation. 30 minutes into my ride my bike had a flat tire and my ride abruptly ended. He made a couple of calls, laughed, and said in his 6 years of tour, this was the first flat tire he had encountered. He offered to do a walking tour which I declined. Instead he stayed with the bike and I walked 1 hour back to the train station from the opposite end of town. Fortunately I had been on a tour earlier so I knew my way back to town but it was the Friday before Easter and the roads were filled with many tourists and the streets were very full with tourists. He offered to give me a partial refund until I sent a message requesting a full refund and he agreed. When asked if I had been in a group setting what he would have done given my flat tire situation, he laughed and said, "I would have left you." I'm surprised that being the owner and most likely renting bikes from the same location, he would not pack an extra tire with him given he is the one chosing the bike for the ride. Grateful I truly wasen't left in the countryside to find my way back to town. Super disappointed.

The private bike tour around Bruges and to Damme was simply amazing. Our guide Xavier, an associate of the tour leader also with the same name, was amazing. He provided wonderful insights about the area, answered ALL our questions, and was a gracious host to this beautiful city. With the amazing weather, we were able to take a little break in Damme to experience a local pub and taste beer from the region. Xavier was wonderful to offer us many recommendations for dinner that evening which was a beautiful end to our time in Bruges!

Xavier was amazing. He adapted the tour for us due to the weather and we had a wonderful time biking around and learning fun and interesting facts about the city. Even though we did not make it to Damme this time, the biking around the “green lung” of Bruges and throughout the city was lovely.

This was a terrible experience! Tour should have been cancelled from the beginning! Raining and cold! Tour started anyway with a 20 minute delay. Finally tour was ended only to say it was the fault of the customers restrictions! Nonsense! Impossible to ride with slippery pedals and handel bars! Hands could not grip the bars safely! Soaking wet and cold! Would not refund 100% of cost. Only 65%. We asked to cancel before it even started because of the rain. In the description it is stated the experience requires good weather! Very poor customer relations!

We had an incredible ride through gorgeous countryside and learned some interesting history about Bruges and Damme. I’m so glad we chose this adventure! The ride was about 10 flat miles, and we kicked up the pace a bit and were able to take a little side route past a vineyard. Wonderful trip!
