Alisson (spelling?) was great
I really enjoyed the tour with Alasdair. I was fascinated by the stories behind Bruges' history, especially the tales of Candy Maria, the red cherries, and the role of the barber in medieval times, who was responsible not only for haircuts but also for treating bones and performing bloodletting. Last but not least, Alasdair shared excellent local recommendations for restaurants, breweries, waffles, and Belgian chocolate. I had a wonderful late lunch at Cambrinus after the tour, and it was the perfect recommendation. Thank you again for such an inspiring tour. Alasdair is a true storyteller and did an outstanding job bringing the history of Bruges to life. I highly recommend this tour!
We really enjoyed our guided tour with Arthur. He is good at telling stories and knows Brugge really well. One of the best part was the waffle tasting I must say that was the best waffle we ever had.
My husband and I have done quite a few small group walks on our travels. We find it's a wonderful introduction to somewhere we're unfamiliar with. Hands down, this guided walk was one of the best we've ever taken. The right balance of history - enough to provide context but not overwhelming with a bazillion dates. There was an excellent variety of cultural and historic spots to come back to, which we did during the remaining day and a half we spent in Bruges. The tour's title is spot on - this really is a must do when visiting Bruges!
Alisdair was a wonderful guide, bringing to life the history, of Bruges. He was very entertaining, very knowledgeable and extremely keen to answer all of our questions.

This was basically a free walking tour that provided background information and identified city interest points. Our tour guide was funny and insightful and seemed to enjoy his job and the city of Bruges. This tour allows you to get a better understanding of the history behind this beautiful city, and plan which parts you would like to spend additional time at. We were impressed with Bruges and wish we allocated more time here to enjoy it.
Pascal is truly more than a tour guide. He is a storyteller and entertainer. Great introduction to Bruges, finished off with his excellent recommendations and a good beer. Very entertaining. I can’t recommend highly enough!
This was a great tour at the beginning of my stay. Alasdair was a great guide - knowledgeable, engaging, and entertaining with a bagful of anecdotes - and he worked hard to ensure the whole group got something from the tour. Would definitely recommend, even if you're only staying a day in Bruges.
