This tour is a must for history junkies. John, our tour guide, was accommodating, knowledgeable, and personable. Hit the trifecta! Changing of the guards was cancelled due to extreme heat. Instead, we saw King Charles on his way to Buckingham Palace.
Our tour guide was great although I can’t remember his name. Talk guy with red hair and beard. Very knowledgable and made the walk enjoyable.
Our tour guide John was great! Super knowledgable and very friendly and fun. Would recommend this tour. I did make the mistake of thinking I was booking the Buckingham Palace changing of the guard instead of the horse changing of the guard but it was still a neat experience.
Alan was amazing and very engaging. We loved this tour and thought it was worth every penny! He showed us all the spots to see the guards and gave great recommendations.
Our guide, Allen, allowed us to take the tour even though we showed up a day early! Had we gone on our original day, there would have been no changing of the guard, so check before you book the tour. Allen was excellent in placing us in all the best locations to maximize photo opportunities. His knowledge of history was especially appreciated, as was his sense of humor.
John was an excellent tour guide. He was fun and answered very question. He made it quite enjoyable.
Please do this! It’s worth it when you visit London! This guide is so knowledgeable of the times, and was able to get us great views for the changing of the guards! A must do when visiting London!
Angie led a wonderful tour! She was very informative, giving lots of info about places and people of the royal family. She got us exactly in the right spot to view the changing of the Mounted Guards. She was also funny and relatable!
Alan was a terrific guide, knew what was happening on the particular day so we saw the band rehearsing Candle in the Wind as the Changing of the Horses came right in front of us, then we walked over to the actual ceremony. He was knowledgeable, and we enjoyed his funny stories.
It’s crowded, bring water, have realistic expectations. There are likely a few hundred people wanting to see the same thing at the same time. Be prepared for a long walk wear comfortable shoes.
