Chamara organised a 2 day trip to the safari park and on to Ella, with an overnight hotel stay for our family of 3. The trip took in the safari park and elephant sanctuary, 9 arch bridge and 90 mins train journey around Ella. With a 4 hour drive each way, this is definitely not a journey you want to drive yourself, and Chamara did the heavy work and looked after us throughout. It was really good to get away from the hotel and see Sri Lanka’s beautiful landscapes. Well done and thank you!

We booked a trip to Elle, Udawalawa Safari with Obama from RIU Lanka Tours and Travel. It was great. He could show us a lot and explain it in German. We can only recommend him.

I really enjoyed this trip, although it was an early start for us it was definitely worth it. The sights throughout the day were phenomenal, we got to experience the full Sri Lankan elephant safari experience and to top it all off we had the best tour guide - Obama. I was really intrigued by the wildlife and Obama made sure that we would catch the elephants super clearly every single time. Seeing the elephants at least 1.5-2 meters away was so surreal and I would definitely recommend Obama and his team to guide you as well. We were constantly being told what to look out for and even had to pull out the binoculars. We also went to visit an elephant feeding transit, there were loads of other people there to see so I’m glad Obama had shown us a popular site. This experiences is best for families to explore.

We went on a trip around Sri Lanka with a local guide named Obama, who has an official guide license! We planned our trips so that we could see as much as we wanted: Kandy, the Temple of the Tooth, the Hindu temple in Matala, Sigiriya Lion Rock and Dambulla (a two-day trip), as well as Ella + a train ride (nine arch bridge), Adams Rock, tea plantations, Udawalawe, and finally a one-day trip to Colombo. We were two families (8 people), including children aged 8 to 12. Obama advised us on a detailed itinerary, and we had as much time as we wanted for the attractions. Aboma was very helpful and gave us as much time as we wanted to explore - without rushing - it was very comfortable. He always took us on trips to avoid the crowds. Had a lovely day today visiting udawalawe national park. Saw quite afew elephants, buffalo, deer and crocodiles. Great experience and on time to greet us. Travelled from the UK and made lots of memories

I first made contact before arriving in Sri Lanka. All messages were replied to promptly, and lots of information given on trips that could be done, locally and further afield. Once we arrived we met up and discussed requirements and booked a couple of trips. Our first trip, to Udawalawa National Park was excellent. We were picked up in an air conditioned mini van and driven the 2 hours in comfort. We also visited the elephant transit home for orphaned elephants. The safari was amazing! Getting to see the elephants in the wild was such a brilliant experience. Our guide was knowledgeable and stopped to show us lots of other animals too. Our second trip was the river safari, followed by the turtle hatchery and a shopping trip in Bentota. I would thoroughly recommend all of them. I wish we’d stayed longer and been able to do a couple more trips, but we’ll be back! Thank you

The safari trip was amazing. We saw lots of elephants, monkeys, water buffaloes, crocodiles, different types of birds. The service was exceptional. Everything was very well organised and professional from the start to the end. Our guides spoke in English and German. Obama was very friendly and gave us a brilliant insight into life in Sri Lanka and explained a lot of things. I would definitely recommend this company. If you even want to spontaneously book this trip or others then just go to the front of the hotel and ask for Obama.
