By far the best and most authentic thing you can do in Santorini! Having a guide who knows the island inside out completely changes the experience. He is the only local doing this tour with such passion, and it shows in every single detail. He showed us the real side of the island, far beyond the usual tourist spots. The most important thing of all, however, was how welcoming he was. Not for a minute did it feel like a staged, formal tour. He managed to break the ice instantly and made us all feel like a close-knit group of friends. The vibe was incredibly relaxed, full of positive energy, and we truly felt right at home. An experience that absolutely deserves a 10/10!

An amazing tour from a great local!! We had a wonderful time on our recent tour with Ioakeim Gavrilis. It was so great having a local and he was so fun. He taught us so many customs and why things are done the way they are. He was a great, knowledgeable, expert in Santorini. We would definitely recommend him to friends and family that come to visit. He knows a lot about wine because of his family. And he knew the best routes to get around and we were so appreciative of the great tour!

This tour with Makis has to be the the best private tour we have ever been on. Makis was so knowledgeable. We spent almost 5 hours touring the island of Santorini. There were places we would have never ventured out on our own. We ended the day trip with dinner on the black beach at 41. The food and service there was masterful. Thanks Makis for making that day so informative and special.

Unforgettable Santorini Tour with Makis! Makis is an incredible guide and extremely knowledgeable, passionate, and truly engaging. His historical tour brought Santorini’s rich past to life, from ancient ruins to the windmills, all woven with fascinating historical insights. The day ended with a stunning fine dining experience at Restaurant 41, where every bite and every view was absolute perfection. A flawless mix of culture, beauty, and luxury. And the view of the sunset. Makis was a phenomenal guide and I highly recommend his tours.

This was just an expensive cab ride. No useful content, no guidance at historic locations. Why was this billed as an "historic Santorini" tour? This was merely transportation to one old site, and to one view spot.
You book a historical tour without read the itinerary and the details at all from the tour that all is clear on Viator description. I write that I can't escort you inside the historical sights bc by low I'm nit an Archaeologist licensed guide. Everything is clear as about what including the tour and what is not included like the tickets for the historical sites. It's not my fault you didn't read the description and you book a tour that doesn't fit on your needs. I was trying my best but everything the tour has as visit you didn't want to go. As about the title of your review to inform you if you hire a cab you pay double money ,even that is totally wrong from your side. I provide tours the last 20 years and I'm one of the 3 real locals who do that. I understand from the first minute that you book something you don't even read what is about. I hope next time to be more fair with someone trying the best and destroy their reputation bc you didn't read or you didn't have the mood for that service.
