We have done quite a few cruise excursions over the years, and this one stood out because it never felt rushed. The guide explained the city's history in a friendly and approachable way while giving practical advice for each stop. The coach was spacious and stayed cool despite the warm weather. We appreciated having enough time to explore on our own without feeling lost. Everything operated exactly as described, including the smooth pickup and timely return to the cruise terminal. It was a very enjoyable introduction to Paris.
Our family really enjoyed the balance between guided sightseeing and personal free time. The guide shared interesting stories that kept everyone engaged, including our teenagers who usually lose interest quickly. The vehicle was clean and comfortable, making the drive surprisingly relaxing. Every stop was well planned, and we never felt overwhelmed by large crowds because everything was organised efficiently. We also contacted customer support before travelling with a small question and received a helpful reply almost immediately. We returned to the ship comfortably ahead of departure, making it a worry-free day.
Seeing Paris for the first time had always been on our travel list, and this excursion made it simple. We didn't have to think about transportation or schedules because everything was arranged for us. The English-speaking guide was informative and easy to understand, adding interesting background without overwhelming us with too much information. The free time allowed us to enjoy a café and stroll through nearby streets before rejoining the group. We arrived back at the port comfortably before departure, making the experience completely stress-free from beginning to end.
A total rip off. Also terrible customer service. Booked a tour for 10. Paid 220$ per person. These guys decided to fill up the bus with other people. You would think with the money paid it was a private tour. Also opted for a guided tour option that was 600$ more. The guide only joined in Paris for 3 hours, many attractions were on our own. Once I learned they aren't giving me a private tour, I wanted to downgrade for just transportation option, and never heard back from them again. One of the worst experiences with Viator. We travel a lot and use viator almost exclusively, and I never leave negstive reviews. These guys pissed me off.
We regret to hear about your disappointment, but since, as you say, you use Viator often, perhaps it is finally time to learn that private tours are clearly labelled as PRIVATE directly in the tour title and usually cost at least three times more than the standard shared group tour you booked while insisting it was private. As for the guide service, the tour description clearly states that it is not provided during the transfers from Le Havre, but only in Paris. To cut a long story short, when booking future activities through Viator, we strongly recommend basing your expectations on the published description, inclusions, and itinerary rather than on personal assumptions. Travelling with children from a cruise stop always makes me a little nervous, but everything throughout the day felt well organised. We were picked up close to the port on time and the coach was comfortable with plenty of room. Our guide spoke excellent English and managed to keep both adults and kids interested while sharing stories about Paris. We visited the main landmarks without feeling rushed and still had enough free time to enjoy lunch and take family photos. The return to the ship was perfectly timed, which gave us complete peace of mind. Customer support answered our question before the tour very quickly as well. It turned out to be one of the highlights of our cruise.
They were patient, gave useful advice on how to avoid lines, and recommended kid friendly locations for breaks and snacks. After walking along the Seine and seeing the major landmarks, we had just enough time to visit most of them. I would suggest families looking for a leisurely but full day.

We didn't have to worry about transportation or directions and could simply enjoy Paris. We especially enjoyed the quieter places where we could walk around without large crowds.
