At the start of the tour, the guide provided helpful information and about what to expect during the tour. The tour made us feel we were transported back in time. The guide’s storytelling provided good historical context and also interesting facts. Overall, this cultural walking tour was enriching as well as an enjoyable experience revolving around local heritage. I do recommend it for anyone who wants an authentic, personalized introduction to this city’s history and traditions.
At the end of this tour, we realized that Kanazawa city deserves attention, as it is a showcase of harmony between nature and human design. The bilingual tour guide had good expertise in history and local customs. This tour was an engaging and thoughtful day out.
This tour was like going into Japan’s elegant past, in terms of history and traditions (contemporary art, samurai artifacts and local ceramics). The guide made it a well-organized tour and I highly recommend this tour.

The Higashi Chaya District was our highlight of the tour, with charming streets lined with traditional wooden buildings.
