Juliet was magnifique as our tour guide to mont saint-michel from Bayeux. Her presentation was flawless and added to our enjoyment and education. There was a guided tour with also time to spend on our own. Would highly recommend.

Pascal was so great!! He was on time, very friendly and full of knowledge about the region. He felt like a friend! Also, made sure to communicate with us in case we were late or wanted to leave earlier. Great day!

My senior citizen parents and I took this van ride from Bayeux to Mont Saint Michel and our driver/guide was very friendly and enthusiastic. He gave us great tips to get the most with our money and explained the folklore and local culture. The van is spacious and comfortable. The roads are scenic and the autumn colors were beautiful. My Dad is not very mobile so when we got to the visitor center he opted to take the shuttle and Mom and I took the walking path. The path was flat and a gentle 35 minute walk to the entrance of the village. The Abbey and Village were very interesting. There were several stairs up to the Abbey, I saw many seniors taking a rest when needed. I’m glad Dad saved his energy with the shuttle. The headsets were inexpensive to rent but a nice option to go at your own pace. There are also free brochures in multiple languages so if you opt out of the headsets, you can read the description of each room you pass through. Our train to Paris was at 5:41 pm and we arrived back in Bayeux with plenty of time to grab a drink or snack for our next trip. We were able to stow our luggage in the van and get dropped off at the train station so this was a very convenient and laid back trip for our last day in Normandy. I lost my wedding band somewhere between the bathroom at the Welcome center and the walking path so I spent a lot of time retracing my footsteps. That took away the joy of being here and present in the moment. I think you will enjoy this trip if you sign up, and keep an eye out for my ring!

Excellent..ride from Bayeauz a little long, but guide was safe driver....tour Excellent, just sometimes hard to hear Lou..but knowledge was wonderful. On time, great English, patient with all.

We took this tour in early October. We meet our guide Nadege in Bayeux. Our first issue was finding parking. She was kind to help us and another couple get to the train station and park. We were a total of 4 couples in a large Mercedes van. Tight but comfortable We had about 1.5 hour ride to Mont Saint Michel and she shared with stories of its history. Upon arrival it was rainy, she was prepared with umbrellas if you needed one. She escorted us through the shuttle process. We went up through the village to the Abby. It did keep raining and it was a low tide. We ate lunch in the village which was nice. The Abby church was interesting but no art and the architecture was plain and functional. She took us through the Abby and we explored the village on our own. We recommend the tour with Nadege

The tour guide Valentino was just a delight, very knowledgeable & helpful . His sincerity & knowledge of the surrounding area & what else to see & do was incredible. Haven’t above & beyond to help us see the attractions we wanted to see. Thanks

Ophorous provides the abbey ticket and transportation. Our trip driver/guide Valentin explained that due to crowds Go to the Abbey at the top first, while not busy, then after stop at view points for pictures, then shop at village shops and stop for lunch as the place explodes with tourists coming in, and lastly go out onto the sand if low tide, and get photo ops. It was a great tip, and then you can walk back and cut over on the right side dirt path to pass by the sheep for awesome pics on the way back to the meeting point.

It’s a nice day out!! Make sure you get there early as it gets really crowded. Wear sun screen and a hat

Well organised and prompt. Valentin was an excellent driver and gave a good commentary en route to amont St Michel. There was just the right amount of time to explore the abbey and walk both there and back. Having prepaid tickets made it easier (though that maybe easy to organise online 🤷‍♀️). The abbey is well worth a visit, both architecturally interesting and has amazing views. Would be happy to use Ophorus again.

Only giving any stars because our driver was great and the place was worth visiting. (We aren’t faulting our driver. They did let us know after we were already in motion that we we only purchased a ride). This is genuinely NOTHING more than a glorified taxi ride for 8 people. There is no “commentary”. Not a single tidbit of information about Mont Saint Michel except to avoid the overpriced omelets (we learned to also avoid the sandwiches. The first shop on the right sold us rancid ham sandwiches…inedible…no refunds) But when we signed up for a $114 per person “transfer” with “commentary” from a “knowledgeable driver” we thought that meant that we’d get some information during the ride then be left to explore on our own with the new “knowledge” we thought would be shared in the “commentary” , in mind. We chatted about random things here and there on the way, like regional foods and the driver pointed out when MSM came into view , but that was about it. Thankfully there was enough signal for us to google information, which is much less fun when we expected “knowledgeable” “commentary” Local hotels offer daily shuttles for MUCH less. And our family could have gotten a private *round trip* Uber for HALF THE PRICE. Either spend a bit more and get the guided tour and actually learn a bit about this neat place or save a bunch of money and get a hotel shuttle or Uber. We’ve purchased a LOT of tours through Viator and this one has been the ost disappointing in terms of what we paid vs what we got. What a shame.
