We recently did a private tour of Mt. Etna led by Lorenzo of EtnaTribe and found the experience to be quite excellent. Lorenzo was a very informative guide who gave very clear descriptions about the volcano and was knowledgeable about Sicily in general…the history culture, food, etc. We also experienced a wonderful wine tasting at the Enoteca dell’Etna in Ragalna. Their fine wines were paired with delicious food and was a delightful way to end our tour.
Lorenzo was an excellent tour guide who was extremely knowledgeable about the region! The scenery of Mt Etna is surreal, and the wine tasting was a wonderful way to relax after.
The tour of Mt. Etna was very interesting and was enhanced by our tour guide Lorenzo. He was quite knowledgeable about many issues concerning Mt. Etna and Sicily in general. The wine tasting at Ragalna enoteca following the Mt. Etna visit was excellent as well, with delicious food paired with wonderful wines. The entire day was a great experience.
Guide was excellent. Food & wine not so much. We had a predetermined menu and had vegetarians in our group which were excluded from many of the food options. Would do the tour to Etna (amazing) and dine somewhere else.

Simone was a terrific guide full of enthusiasm and knowledge in a variety of areas. He used our time in the car to give us lots of information on the area. We stopped along the way to enter a lava tube. We took the cable car tour where the buses take you even further up Mt Etna. Having never been this close up on a volcanos the landscape and the views were astonishing. Simone has been to Etna many times and you have another guide leading your group at the top. We then went to a local winery for a wine tasting with local foods to compliment. It was a lovely relaxing place where we got to further engage with the people on our tour. It was a great day of adventure and relaxation Highly recommend.
Simone was our tour guide. He did an excellent job. He is passionate about Sicily. He shared history, culture, food, and the geology of Mount Etna. Mount Etna is a fascinating place. On our way up to Etna , we stopped to enter a lava flow. Views were spectacular once we reached the base camp of Mt Etna to the valley below and of Mount Etna. We took the cable car a good ways up the mountain and buses took us up further. We hiked further up recieving information as we went. It was a good day and now for the trip to taste wines made in the Etna area. I enjoyed them all and the food that accompanied the wine was so good. Lovely venue.
I am really happy to have chosen this excursion among the many available. We were fortunate to have Eduardo as our guide, and what can I say, he was simply fantastic. He is a delightful person, very helpful, and above all extremely knowledgeable. My partner and I are very curious, and we filled him with questions throughout the excursion. Not only did he patiently answer all our curiosities, but he also told us many things not only about Etna but also about Sicily: myths, traditions, customs, and many other aspects of the local culture. It was a true pleasure to spend time with such a brilliant and passionate person. At the same time, he never made the other participants feel neglected, including the French families present in the group, and he was able to engage the children as well, stimulating their curiosity about the volcano. I recommend this excursion also because it is not particularly strenuous: it is a pleasant walk rich in interesting explanations, made even more special by the incredible spectacle of the sunset over Etna. A truly magical experience.
This tour and our guide was excellent. We enjoyed the drive up the mountain volcano. The cable car further up was a nice experience. Later the lunch and wine tasting was very well done. We would highly recommend this tour.
Claudio was an excellent well informed and avid guide. Informative and fun, the sunset view was beautiful. It was nice to meet new people and share experiences from everyones trips and from the guides experiences too! Thank you for a memorable time.
