The tour is a church and then history lesson on the painting and then the actual painting . It was interesting. You have 15 min to see the painting in groups of no more than 40. It is very organized by the museum and this is plenty of time and wasn’t crowded. Guide was very knowledgeable
Our tour of The Last Supper and Santa Maria delle Grazie was truly outstanding, thanks to our wonderful guide, Arabella. She was incredibly knowledgeable and brought the history, art, and significance of both sites to life in a way that was engaging and easy to understand. What impressed me most was her ability to capture the attention of our entire multi-generational group—from seniors all the way down to toddlers. She presented complex historical information in a way that was interesting, accessible, and never overwhelming. She was punctual, organized, and kept the tour running smoothly. While she was very mindful of time and respectful of everyone’s schedule, she never made us feel rushed. Instead, she struck the perfect balance between efficiency and allowing us to fully appreciate the experience. Her explanations of The Last Supper were fascinating. She shared so many details about the painting, Leonardo da Vinci, and the historical context that we would never have known on our own. The insights she provided added tremendous value and gave us a much deeper appreciation for this masterpiece. She was equally informative when guiding us through Santa Maria delle Grazie, offering historical and artistic context that enriched our visit even further. Overall, this was an excellent tour and one of the highlights of our trip. I thoroughly enjoyed the experience and would gladly book with this guide again on a future visit. I highly recommend this tour to friends, family, and anyone looking for a deeper understanding of The Last Supper and its incredible history.
A TOTAL SCAM. I paid €298 (for 2 people) to see and listen to the guide of The Last Supper with a maximum time in front of the mural of 15 minutes. They did not show us the Church of Santa Maria delle Grazie even though it was included in the visit. The group was small (8 people), but we entered along with a larger group, which sometimes made it difficult to hear the explanations and to see properly.
Dear guest, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We are sorry to hear the experience did not fully meet your expectations, and we would like to clarify a few important points. Regarding the 15 minutes inside the refectory: this is not a decision made by us, but a strict regulation imposed by the Italian Ministry of Culture for conservation purposes. Leonardo's Last Supper is an extremely fragile mural, and the time allowed inside is limited for all visitors, regardless of the tour operator. This applies to every group, without exception. As for the number of people inside: the maximum capacity of the room is 40 persons at a time. We have no control over which other groups are scheduled in the same time slot — this is managed entirely by the venue. That said, we would like to reassure you that the mural is positioned high on the wall and is clearly visible from any point in the room, even when other visitors are present. It would genuinely be impossible not to see it. Regarding Santa Maria delle Grazie: as stated in our tour information, the church may occasionally be closed to groups due to religious services or private ceremonies such as funerals. This is entirely at the discretion of the church and beyond our control. However, individual visitors are always welcome to enter on their own after the guided explanation — only organized groups are subject to this restriction. We hope this clarifies the situation, and we hope to welcome you again for a more satisfying experience.
Great, informative and efficient way to see Last Supper - Sylva was knowledgeable and friendly. Taking off one star for price - not sure why this tour is so expensive for a 90 min tour. Feels a bit predatory on those who can’t get the 15 euro tickets to enter because they’ve been bought up by the tour guides.
Lovely guide - she was very informative - gave thorough historical background about Last Supper. Worth the cost of the tour! Highly recommend!
You have to sign up well in advance to see The Last Supper, so this tour by Victor was a reasonable option.
It’s very complicated without a guide. The commentary really adds to the experience. Early in the morning is best as it’s less crowded
Amazing. Small group very informative. I wasn’t expecting so much information on the basilica and the last supper.
Our guide was very informative and fun. She took great care to keep our small group front and center for the best possible viewing. I would highly recommend this tour. The Last Supper is a must see!
Excellent, well-prepared tour of The Last Supper and church. Can’t miss opportunity to see a historical artistic marvel - including stories about a WWII miracle and a revolutionary method to restore a masterpiece!
