We had an absolutely wonderful tour of the Palace of Versailles with Florie, and she truly made the experience special. Our tour focused on the magnificent King’s and Queen’s Apartments, the breathtaking Hall of Mirrors, and several other fascinating areas of the palace. Florie was incredibly knowledgeable, engaging, and passionate about the history of Versailles. What really set her apart were the little anecdotes and stories she shared along the way. They brought the history to life and gave us a much more personal glimpse into the kings, queens, and life at the French court. Rather than simply hearing dates and historical facts, we felt like we were getting to know the people who actually lived there. She struck the perfect balance between being informative and entertaining, kept us engaged throughout the tour, and was happy to answer our questions. Even in such an extraordinary setting, Florie was one of the highlights of our visit to Versailles. We would highly recommend a tour with Florie to anyone visiting Versailles. She transformed a beautiful palace into a memorable experience and gave us stories we’ll be talking about long after our trip. Thank you, Florie, for such a fantastic tour!

Superb time spent with a wonderful, fascinating guide. Nothing to complain about regarding the service. On the other hand, regarding the organization of the visit, we received 3 messages from the organizer asking us to change the times and the day of the service... it was annoying!

The guide was very sweet and very good. She was knowledgeable and friendly. She seemed very nervous and tried so hard to please. She was very endearing. I would say the negative of the tour is the pacing. It felt so slow. You see mainly the second floor of the castle and it is essentially a square. I think as the guide gets more comfortable with tours they won’t seem quite so daunting for her and the participants. She was great about answering questions and knew a lot. It was hard to focus on the actual castle rather than the guide. This is not necessarily her fault, but I think with some more practice she will be able to guide people’s attention to the building rather than herself. She was charismatic and passionate, but it sort of made you feel like you needed to watch her rather than look at the surroundings. I honestly think an audio tour online would suffice for this site especially since the guides do not take you through the gardens and you do that on your own anyway.

The palace was so opulent and the history of everything was so interesting. The gardens were huge, has to take the little train. If you go really try to see the Queen's Hamlet.

Josquin was a fantastic guide. He was super friendly, funny and knowledgeable. Both me and my wife enjoyed the tour and would recommend this tour to our friends and family. The tour was very informative and he gave great insight, which is exactly what we were after. We had photo opportunities throughout which we really appreciated!

This is only a tour of the palace. But you do have time for the gardens after your tour. Or guide was very knowledgeable and entertaining.

We signed up for our Versailles tours with friends over a month ago. Several days before our guided tour, my friend and I were both bombarded with text, email, phone and WhatsApp that they were moving our tour times. We had signed up for a 2:30PM tour. They told us they were moving our tours to different times. Not together. After protesting and more confusion on their part, we finally got a noon tour together. When we arrived, our tour guide spoke very poor English. Further, the headsets they gave us were terrible. We could barely understand a few words. I asked a few others in our group if they could understand her, and they said no. In the Palace it was so crowded you could not get near her to help understand anything. We finally decided to just look around, and go home to watch YouTube to understand what we were looking at. We were very frustrated realizing we wasted $235. To make matters worse, our bike group gave each of us an entry ticket into Versailles…unknown to us beforehand. We could have gone in for free and picked up an English headset that would have described the rooms and furnishings to us. We have never had a bad Viator tour, until now. This tour did not merit 1 star.
