The tour was very well planned. The cab was excellent and the driver was very polite and helpful with the local practices. We enjoyed the stay at the accommodations across the different destinations. Overall it was a smooth and enjoyable trip.

This was a great way to explore the city of Colombo and Sri Lanka culture. My guide Shifan was amazing! He was very insightful regarding the history and culture of all of the spots we visited in the city. The mosques, temples, government buildings, beaches, and sights were excellent. Colombo really is a beautiful city with an amazing history!
Great way to see the city. See what you want to see and skip what you are not interested in. Our driver/guide, Geemal was first rate. Most accommodating and very polite.
My late night departure flight time allowed for space in my itinerary for a day tour of the nation's capital, Colombo. As the rest of our tour had been organised through Red Dot Tours, I asked them to organise this. Red Dot sent through a comprehensive proposed itinerary, allowing me to choose places of interest. They accommodated my request to see some of Geoffrey Bawa's architecture as well, and team member Dhanushika booked a tour of his residence on my behalf. In addition to this, my day included the Galle Face Hotel, Galle Face Green, Dutch Hospital, Grand Oriental Hotel, Red Mosque, Hindu Kovil, Town Hall, Independence Square, Bandaranayake Conference Hall (BMICH), the Lotus Tower, Prime Minister's Residence, Gangarama Temple. Some of the above we visited on foot, some we drove past either by car or tuk tuk. My Driver/Guide Jagath was excellent - not only was he a respectful, polite, educated and knowledgeable gentleman, but he organised lunch at an authentic Tamil Hindu restaurant which was so interesting, and a highlight of the day. He illuminated me about Sri Lanka's fascinating history and culture which further added to my overall experience of this wonderful country. My day ended with a mid afternoon stay (approximately 5 hours) stay at the Granbell Hotel where I was able to rest, shower and have a meal. The hotel was very well appointed but a minor criticism is that it was a bit noisy being close to the railway line. My Driver/Guide then collected me from the hotel to drive me to the airport. Thanks Red Dot for a wonderful day and bonus add-on to my preceding 2 week tour of Sri Lanka. Red Dot is a professional locally based tour group operator whom I heartily recommend.

We had a wonderful experience in Colombo. The city offers a perfect mix of culture, history, and modern life. We enjoyed visiting the main attractions, walking along Galle Face Green, and exploring the local markets.
