What an amazing two weeks we had travelling around Sri Lanka! Our experience was made all the more special by Sana (our guide) and Ananda (our driver). They were so kind and attentive. Nothing was too much trouble. Sana stopped off on the way, regularly, to provide us with fresh fruits and snacks, teaching us about the local customs and produce. Rambutans were our particular favourite. Sana was great at communicating, sending us regular messages using WhatsApp. He made sure eveyone was included and looked after us every step of the way. By the end of our holiday it felt like he was part of our family. Ananda was great at making sure we didn't suffer from travel sickness on the windy roads. He got us to remote places we would never of imagined you could get to. What a special time we had! Thank you so much!

We had an amazing holiday and experience with our guide Sana. He was so friendly, helpful, caring, kind and always went above and beyond to ensure our trip was the best it could be. We saw so many incredible things with Sana adding on lots of extra touches like fruit tasting, exceptional view points, sunsets and many other things. We cannot thank him enough and would strongly recommend this company. Our driver was also brilliant. They were both punctual and kind throughout our trip.

I can't rate Sri Lanka Personal Tour Drivers highly enough - they are excellent. Two main areas to talk about here. Firstly the planning and booking stage pre-trip. The team there is quick, efficient, helpful, courteous, knowledgeable, flexible and professional, as well as good value. Secondly the trip itself and our driver for 14 days Ishak, who was lovely, an extremely good driver and went out of his way to ensure our trip was unforgettable. Nothing was too much for him, everything met with a smile. Most useful though was his ability to work out what we as a family liked best, and to suggest things not on our itinerary that he thought we might enjoy (which we did of course). He knows Sri Lanka inside out, including the best places to eat!

We had an excellent experience travelling around Sri Lanka with Ijas as our driver for 17 days. He was always punctual, reliable and, most importantly, drove very safely. Ijas was also extremely helpful, flexible and happy to adjust the itinerary whenever needed. He gave us great recommendations for restaurants, local places and activities, and always went the extra mile to make our trip comfortable and enjoyable. Found this Company online and was very happy with them. Communication was very good at first through mail, and then more efficiently through WhatsApp. The company were very helpful in drawing up an itinerary with no commitment to pay anything which was very trusting. When it came to payment, although it says 50% on arrival, they gave me a European account where I could transfer the money to. I preferred this option rather than drawing a significant sum of cash out at an airport ATM. Our driver Kiyas was very punctual meeting us at the hotel in Colombo. He was friendly, knowledgeable and flexible. On the longer journeys he would stop to buy some fruit from the sellers on the road and also gave us bottles of water regularly. Although we had agreed upon a schedule, we were still open to suggestions to do additional things. Some of the activities were very touristy, but nevertheless a good experience and we never felt pressured to go anywhere. Kiyas was a very good driver who looked after us well.

To celebrate my milestone 50th birthday, we decided to visit Sri Lanka to witness "The Gathering" of elephants — a true bucket-list experience. After some research, we decided to hire Sri Lanka Personal Tour Drivers (SLPTD), and they truly exceeded every expectation. 
From our very first message on WhatsApp, Ishan and Celine were incredibly helpful, offering great insight and helping us arrange visits to temples, safaris, and more. They're also able to assist with hotel bookings, though since we were using reward points for our stays, we opted to handle that part ourselves. 
The price was more than reasonable, and after spending 10 days traveling around Sri Lanka, I can say with confidence: you want a local driver. Driving around the country is an adventure in itself — passing cars, navigating winding mountain roads — and having someone experienced behind the wheel made all the difference. Beyond the incredible itinerary, what truly made our holiday so special was our driver, Ijas. He was helpful, warm, and always wearing a genuine smile, consistently suggesting great activities and restaurants along the way. He was professional and punctual, and he went above and beyond — accompanying us to ensure smooth hotel check-ins, and even walking us to our seats on the train to Ella. When I unexpectedly got sick with stomach issues, Ijas was incredibly helpful, taking me to the hospital and making sure my boyfriend was able to get the medications we needed. Because we ended up missing our afternoon elephant safari due to spending several hours at the hospital, Ijas kindly arranged for us to reschedule it for the following morning. Despite that unexpected bump, everything came together smoothly, thanks to him. By day three, it genuinely felt like we were traveling with a friend rather than a driver. He was wonderful, and we're so grateful for his time, care, and hospitality in sharing his beautiful country with us. Thank you, SLPTD, for making our holiday so special and memorable.
