Laurent is a very knowledgeable and enthusiastic guide who knows Brussels and it’s cuisine very well.
Charles was the best guide! This was so much more than a mere food tour. He shared so much about the history, art, culture, architecture and food of Belgium. He brought us to all the main sights of Brussels as well as some hidden gems. It was an easy walk and the food at each stop was plentiful and delicious. Charles was knowledgeable, kind, accommodating, and spoke perfect English. We so enjoyed spending this time with him. Highly recommend!
This exceeded our expectations! Our guide Charles could not have been better. If you book this, ask for him! He’s born and bred here, and could share not only history but current events and knows the city so well. The food tastings were great - ever heard of grey shrimp croquettes?! Yum! Mussels with frites and of course waffles and chocolates while wandering the amazing sites of the city as the evening fell. We even got an added bonus of going to a bar frequented by Magritte when we mentioned he was a favorite artist. Thanks Charles!
Laurent combined food with an educated walking tour of Brussels. The selection of food and pace of the tour were both great.
Our party of three took a private tour with Charles. Charles is a wonderful tour guide, who works hard to show his guests a good time all while enjoying traditional Belgian cuisine. He takes the time to explain the history, culture and traditions of Brussels and of Belgium. We highly recommend this food tour. It was one of the highlights of our visit, and we hope to return to Brussels and Belgium in the near future.
I cannot say enough good things about our trip with Anna! Every stop was delicious and she was super well informed about the city. She told us about the history of the city and was super helpful when it came to us getting a full picture of how charming and special Brussels is. The food is amazing. I am vegetarian, and another person in our party didn’t eat dairy and she was able to accommodate both of us.
Anaïs was very knowledgeable and accommodating. She individualized the tour for us and was helpful with food limitations for some in our party. She was extremely pleasant. We would highly recommend!
Anais was a great guide! The food was amazing and learning about the city was a plus. Would absolutely recommend!
I’ve been to Brussels several times and on 80+ food tours around the world, but this one was right up there in terms of balancing sightseeing, culture, and a variety of signature dishes and unexpected offerings. Flaurent was a great guide—fresh off of a visit to the US for the World Cup (and he took great, deserved delight in being at the match where Belgium stomped the US)—and quite the beer connoisseur. I’ve gotten a little more open-minded about beer living in San Diego, but I’m still picky. I appreciated that we were able to select our drinks when they were offered so I was able to try local beers that suited my palate and were refreshing in the summer heat. The food was admittedly a bit heavy, but also delicious, and we walked enough to keep us from getting sleepy. It was nice to be able to sit down at most places and for each person to be able to select a main course, which is unusual for a food tour. When the restaurant we were supposed to visit wasn’t open yet, Flaurent seamlessly found us a different spot to visit that was excellent. Of course, there was a waffle and a sweet end at Neuhaus. I do usually try to book directly, but sometimes third parties provide better discounts and more cancellation flexibility.
Every chance we can in a new country we like to do a walking food tour. My wife found this one and it definitely delivered. Charles was absolutely fantastic. We lucked out that it was just my wife and I on the tour, which allowed us to have all the time to ask all the questions. He was so thorough in his explanation of his city that he is clearly passionate about. From the artwork to the architecture, it was so much more than just a food tour. This is absolutely a must do if you’re coming to Brussels for the first time! As content creators we’ve had no hesitation recommending this tour to our community as well.
