Since I was traveling with my elderly mother in a wheelchair, I chose this one for the following reasons out of several sites that found hits looking for drivers. The tour was good and fulfilling, the model was clear in some class, there was no negative mention on the wheelchair, you could book instantly online, and payment could be made online using a credit card. They also messaged us as soon as we applied, interjected and communicated with us about wheelchair access at Hobbitton, and we were able to make a reservation without incident. In addition to arranging airport transfers, they also offered to arrange airport transfers for Queenstown, which was outside our jurisdiction. It felt easy to understand and very easy to move around under the same person's management. Japan and New Zealand have a time difference of 3 hours, but I was so relieved that they responded so quickly that I could hardly feel the time difference in email response! Owner Kris was wearing a proper stylish black suit the moment we met at the airport, and what? Is that scarier than you thought? I thought it would be great, but they were so friendly in an instant, I was relieved. They also used a translation app to communicate closely with us, as we barely speak English, and they uttered pronunciations in an easy-to-understand manner, making it very enjoyable to be in harmony in the car. Even in sightseeing spots, he not only sent me there, but also followed me almost everywhere, arranging and caring for me. Even at the airport, I was worried, and they even went to the help desk to check me in, and they interpreted and explained the wheelchair guidance in detail, which was impossibly kind and considerate. Thanks to thoughtful and funny Kris, we had a fun and smooth trip, and the whole family became big fans! The rest of us were all good people. It's so great, but it's not expensive (I don't know what the price is, compared to Swiss Germany two months ago), and it's rather cheap and a lot cheaper if you think of the Plus Alpha service! If you are an individual traveller and want a stress-free and seamless New Zealand trip, I think you should definitely use this. If you're Japanese, you don't have to look for a Japanese driver or tour guide, you'll be perfect at Kris! I really felt the care and power of being a local here and there! I really recommend it.

After a last minute cancelation by a different tour group, Black Car Transfers and Tours truly saved the day! My group of 8 had flown from the US to NZ for my 30th birthday at Hobbiton but after being canceled on the night before, we were left without tickets! I reached out to Black Car Transfers & Tours around 0300 and they followed up at 6am and moved mountains to help our group get in! Absolutely incredible service truly saving the day! Next time, I will definitely book our tours with them from the start! Thank yall so so much!

While short for time for the « must « visit of Hobbiton from Auckland , Chris could not have been more accommodating to make sure I would be there on time!!! We arrived with plenty of time for me to even make my shopping first !! I highly recommend this amazing service that brings class comfort and reliability !!!! I can now leave New Zealand with stars in my eyes as Chris made sure I was going to have a wonderful experience! Thank you

Absolutely a highlight of our New Zealand trip. Chris picked us up at Auckland airport at 5:55 AM and we spent entire day touring with him. He was informative with his constant documentary, caring for all our needs, and handled every detail of our day to perfection. What a great memory for my 80th birthday! Chris will always have a place in our hearts.

Kris was AMAZING! It was like being on a trip with a family member! So kind, such a personal touch!!

Our day started very early and as we waited out side our hotel, expecting a van or coach to arrive for our day trip to Hobbiton, a black leczus arrived and a gentleman got out and informed us that as we were the only two that day, he had upgraded us and Kris the manager of Black car transfers and tours would be our driver. To say that we were surprised was an understatement but very delighted. The trip was just over two hours but we never noticed the time as the comfort and conversation with Kris was great. Kris proved to be informative and had a sense of humour as well. We had a stop half way for photos and to stretch our legs, which we didn't need to do as the car was so comfortable. On our arrival at the "Shire" Kris claimed our tickets and made sure we had all that we needed, informed us that he would be waiting with refreshments and snacks on our return and to enjoy. Two hours later we arrived back to find Kris waiting as promised and once again we sank into luxury and departed for Auckland. The return trip flew by once again in conversation and laughter. This turned out to be one of the best days of our trip. Would I recommend a small group tour in a luxury vehicle, most certainly - is it value for money yes indeed and would I do it again in a heartbeat. Thanks Kris for a great day.

Thursday morning started very early waiting outside our hotel for a van or coach to take us to Hobbiton. We weren't waiting but a few minutes when a black leczus quietly stopped in front of us. Kris got out and informed us that as we were the only two going to Hobbiton we had been upgraded and he was going to drive us there. To say we were surprised was an understatement but very delighted. The day turned out to be one of the best of our trip. Kris proved to be very friendly, informative and had a great sense of humour. The two hour and a bit trip didnt take long at all, super smooth and very comfortable we talked the whole way covering all topics . On our arrival Kris collected our tickets made sure we had all that we needed and told us to enjoy , he would have drinks and snacks waiting for us on our return. Two hours later after a very enjoyable visit to the "Shire", we returned to Kris and our very comfortable ride back to Auckland. Once again the time flew and it seemed like no time and we were back in Auckland. Was this private tour worth it most definitely yes, would i book Black Car Transfers again , in a heartbeat. Kris you gave us a wonderful day that finished our trip on a high, our greatest thanks.

My family and I had the most wonderful day ever. Our driver Kris was so professional and provide us with such VIP care. The luxury van was amazing and felt like we were riding in a Limo. It was a hot day and he provided us with cold water and snacks. I would recommend you do this tour with him and no one else. If you want to ride in style and feel like a celebrity then Black Car is the way to go. My son and my husband had an amazing day and I couldn’t be more thankful.
