This is a great tour if you would like to see Banos and have a full free day. It was a very long day but I feel like I saw what I needed to see in Banos. Note that quite a few things are not included so you will need to bring some cash. They met me at my hotel at 6:30AM for the 4 hour long drive to Banos. We had a stop at a gas station to buy food if we needed. Thankfully all of the bathroom stops were free, with some needing change for toilet paper. When we got to Banos we went to the swing first. Lots of picture opportunities and you should typically tip the swing pusher $0.50-1.00. Then we went to the waterfall (included). There are quite a few steps down for anyone that has mobility issues but I didn't find it too challenging, only about 15 minutes of walking. Next we went for lunch to a nearby hotel. They offer an appetizer soup, meal, dessert, and drink for $15. I read the reviews which said to try to Locro de Papa and it was delicious. After lunch we went to the cable car (included). You can also opt to zipline instead for $15 which I did then took the cable car back. Next we went to an adventure park for all of the additional activities like Tarzan jumping, zip lining, and canopy walks. I didn't opt in for any of these options and just waited until the people on my tour were done. Then we began the 4 hour journey back with one stop in Salcedo to try their ice cream, it's $1 for a regular and $0.50 for a small Popsicle. Overall, I had fun, I got to experience Banos in just one day so I would recommend for thrill seekers and explorers if they have the time. Due to traffic in Quito I arrived back at my hotel around 8pm.

Well worth a day on a trip to Quito. Long drive but you see the diverse landscape & regions. The climax is Banos. First stop at Casa del Arbor is fun & the gardens are beautiful. The next stops with the more extreme activities is like going to an amusement park but the scenery is great! Our guide Fernando kept us engaged & our driver Guillermo was excellent.

Following a scenic drive through the Avenue of Volcanoes, we arrived in Banos. The day is very well planned with a lot of sightseeing and activities taking place. Our guide Diana was very good and informative, and takes excellent photos and videos if you are a solo traveller. She also took orders for breakfast and lunch en route to the restaurants so that meals were served promptly on arrival, meaning there was more time dedicated for sightseeing/activities. It was a thoroughly enjoyable and exhilarating day. I opted to go on the zip line, paying an additional amount for Go Pro recording. When this recording failed to arrive as expected, Diana liaised with the company to ensure we received the footage. Only downside is as a solo traveller, Viator tried to charge me double the price that would have been paid if I had booked the trip for at least two people. Since the tour organiser confirmed to me that the Viator booking was for a shared tour for up to 16 people- it made no sense to me why I had been charged so much. When I flagged this up to Viator - the price difference was eventually refunded to me once I sent email exchanges with the tour operator confirming details of the shared tour. Bottom line is solo travellers should not be charged extra if they are being booked into a shared tour. This was an issue with Viator and not Quito Tour Bus - who organised the tour extremely efficiently to make the day very memorable and enjoyable.

The tour through Baños is a combination of nature and adrenaline that is really worth doing. Diana our guide took care of us, accompanied us, and explained things with professionalism and friendliness. Recommended!!!

Diana was an excellent guide, she explains everything in great detail, she is very kind and takes care of her group as if it were her family. He took many photos of us on the tour to Baños and the driver Jhonatan was also very kind and drives carefully. The tour was very complete, I loved everything.

Jorge was one of these best and knowledgeable guides we have ever had. We have traveled to many countries. You are very fortunate to have guide of this quality. As far as the tour. I could have done without going to the Adventure park. That stuff wasn't to my personal liking

Our guide Irene made our day trip very enjoyable. From planning food, activities, and short hikes, she made our day so easy. She was very informative in a lighthearted and humorous way. We could not have asked for a better day trip to Banos and would happily book with her again. 10/10

We had a fantastic day to Banos with Irene and Marcellus! We covered lots of interesting sites. Irene was full of knowledge and humour - I think she is probably the best tour guide we have had on our travels! She also took lots of great pics for us. We especially enjoyed the end of the world swing. Would recommend this for anyone wanting to see Banks highlights if you don't have time to stay in the area for longer. Thanks again!
