ピコ・アレイロとサント・ダ・セラでの半日ジープサファリツアー

Viewpoints were varied and breathtaking, there was ample time to see each one, and driver / tour guide Jaoa is amazing — kind, friendly, informative, and super accommodating!

This trip sadly didn't live up to expectations. The jeep arrived to collect us and we were told we could choose our seats except for the front as someone had reserved that. The jeep was rather elderly, some of the trims were damaged/broken and the interior didn’t feel overly clean. We picked up another 4 passengers so every seat was taken. It didn’t feel particularly comfy. The weather at the 2nd highest point was poor with thick cloud so we saw nothing. Very disappointing as the company knew this was the case before setting out. The guide while being very pleasant didn’t really share much as we travelled around. The stop at the santo de Serra was a free park that had a couple of peacocks and some deer in a pen. While it was pleasant to walk around - even though it was raining - it wasn’t anything special. The off-road element was a shortish road - steep in places - with trees on either side. Not particularly impressive. The whole trip felt an anticlimax compared with the promotional material.

We had a wonderful jeep tour today, Friday, May 1. On time we were picked up at the hotel and Fasco showed us very nice viewpoints. Thank you very much our helpful driver, and the lot of information about the island. We really liked it! Greetings from Mario and Kati

On our first trip to Madeira we wanted a tour that would show us a bit more than the city of Funchal and we were not disappointed. We were picked up on time from our hotel and spent the next 4+ hours touring around. We made a few stops for views and ata park for refreshments. Guide was very open and friendly with lots of local knowledg of the island. We were then dropped off at a location of our choosing. Great way to get to know a bit more of the island, especially on our first trip.

We had to change the date for jeep tour to 12/12/2025 and Discovery Island Madeira couldn’t have been more helpful. On the day Beto collected us at our hotel on time and despite the awful weather we had a great experience with him. Beto’s English was perfect and as well as being informative about Madeira he was interested in Scotland and we enjoyed chatting with him. We’ve been several jeep trips in the past but we went to places we’ve never been so a lot was new to us. We got soaked, blown along in wind, encountered hail stones and couldn’t see through the clouds but it was still a great trip. Highly recommend Beto at Discovery Island Madeira

The four of us visited Madeira for the first time for a long weekend and wanted to see as much as we could. The hotel booked us a private half day tour and thankfully we got Carlos the driver. Nothing was too much trouble and he knew exactly the kind of places we wanted to go and some amazing extra stops. The transport was comfortable- even on the funny roads! We saw so many amazing spots and nothing was too much trouble for Carlos who was absolutely amazing. He kindly dropped us at an unscheduled restaurant where the excellent hospitality continued.
