Elf was a great guide but traffic made the car trip longer and less time to maybe stop at the roadside views. Being our first trip to Hawaii we were unaware of the travel time between the sites we wanted to see. It took more than two hours for a round trip to north end and when they are trimming trees on a two lane road, it takes longer. We also spent about 1.5 hours at Waimea valley nature preserve walking to the waterfall and interacting with a cultural ambassador at the garden. Elf Took a beautiful picture of us overlooking Waimea Bay, her suggestion of a pose was spot on. Elf is very knowledgeable about the Island and we enjoyed her company. She did make an agenda that met our needs. We had one food truck to try but it was giovanis garlic shrimp which was great. She did stop at a road side and we tried a wonderful drink called oti. The macadamia farm we stopped at was not very educational because we did not get to even see the tree that macadamia nuts come from but they are socially responsible.

Spending the day with Elf was hands down the best part of our entire trip! From the moment we met her, we felt like we were reconnecting with a long-lost friend. Elf showed up on time to pick us up and took took us to the most scenic places you could think of, she was open to take us to anywhere we wanted to go, but she had a few hidden gems of our own. The best part was her company. We chatted all day and at the end of the day we left feeling like old friends don’t hesitate to take this trip. You will love Elf.!

Our tour was perfect! Elf is a wonderful person with so much knowledge of O’ahu. She listened to our ideas, asked questions, made suggestions and crafted exactly what we wanted (without us knowing exactly what we wanted). I don’t even know how we got so much in our day and didn’t feel rushed at any point. She’s an amazing person with a kind soul and years of experience. It felt like a day with an old friend. We had an excellent day with elf! She contacted us in advance to ask what we would like to do on our tour. She informed us that one thing we wanted to do would not be possible due to the surf conditions. She then asked us about our interests and came up with fantastic alternatives! What could have been a disappointment turned out to be an excellent day of discovery! She was engaging and very knowledgeable about Oahu. It was the perfect introduction to the island for my daughter. Thank you elf!! If we are ever back on the island we would love to use your services again.

My husband and visited Oahu to celebrate our 25th Anniversary. Because we only have 3 days here before we move on to another island and because it’s my hubby’s first time in Hawaii, I wanted to find a private tour company to see interesting parts of the island while avoiding the tourist traps. Two month’s prior to our trip, I booked a private tour with Custom Island Adventure Tour. Our host, Elf reached out right away to get a sense of what we would like to see and where our interests lay. She was very responsive and designed an itinerary that allowed us to make the most of our time together. She was very candid about what we could and could not fit into a seven hour tour, which I immensely appreciated. We stayed in touch for the time prior to our trip and the night before, Elf called us to finalize our schedule and confirm the pickup time. Elf arrived on time at our Waikiki and greeted us with her warm, beautiful energy. We had an amazing day! We took the scenic route to the North Shore, stopping a former sugar plantation where we sampled local coffee and amazing chocolate. Then we visited the cute little town of Haleiwa for coffee and shopping. Next we stopped at Waianae Valley, where we hiked to the Waterfall! The journey was unbelievably beautiful! We stopped for lunch at a cool little food truck park what we partook in Garlic Shrimp! Super tasty! We make a few stops at scenic overlooks and the to Byosin Temple. Before heading back to our hotel, we stopped at Leonard’s for Masaladas! All along the way, Elf educated us on local culture and shared her “ good vibes”. Elf is amazing and am so grateful an unforgettable experience! I would highly recommend her company and hope our paths cross again someday!!

Elf is such an amazing guide. She took us to the two places we wanted and to see places and views we didn't even know about. I would recommend Elf to anyone who wants a private, personalised tour. Really cool.
