First time surfing with no experience and Alex was extremely helpful and patient with instructions making sure I was comfortable before entering the water. I would highly recommend Golden Wave for anyone thinking about trying surfing.

Amazing instruction! This wasn't the first surf lesson my wife had but this was the best. We plan on coming back for more lesson! The lesson was a perfect length and she started on the beach and then went out to try the white water with the help of the instructor. We plan on coming back every two weeks.

My (2) kids 10 and 11 had a 2 hour private lesson both have never surfed. The instructor did a great job teaching and encouraging them by the end both were able to get up on the board and ride the wave. He also worked with them on the steering. I would definitely recommend this lesson

The instructor was knowledgeable and great. Logistically easy meet up. Lots of time in the water and up on the board, and a really memorable experience overall.

Alex Lorenzo and Bart have been incredibly patient and amazing throughout my surfing lessons. It’s honestly the highlight of my week to go there and learn. I’ve learned how to stand up and surf properly. They’re also incredibly nice and go all out to make sure I have a great experience.

I went into this not knowing what to expect at ALL. I have never surfed before in my life and consider myself to be an okay swimmer. As someone who is also in their mid 50's, I wasn't sure how hard this activity would be on my body which is why I wanted private lessons. My teenage daughter also never surfed and wanted to try this. I read reviews for different places and selected "golden wave surf school" based on the positive experiences. I am so grateful I did that research because our experience was fantastic! Lorenzo was so patient, kind and thorough in all that we needed to know and do. Within 30 minutes of our lesson, we both were able to successfully stand and glide with the waves to the shore. I would also recommend the option to have your experience recorded so you can brag about it later! :) Be sure to bring your own towel and come ready to get into your wet suit. The public restrooms were really gross, and we ended up changing into our swim suits in our car! Afterwards, you can shower off at the beach rinse-offs but again, bring something easy to get in and out of.

I took a private surfing lesson with Coach Alex, and he gave me a solid foundation of skills and knowledge. I liked his teaching style; it was easy to understand, and I could apply what I learned to my surfing right away. Plus, they provide essential equipment and supplies you need. If you're looking for a surfing lesson, I highly recommend this one. Also- nice beach there!

I really wanted to learn how to surf and I’m from Minnesota. I thought it was going to be really cold but the wetsuit made it perfectly fine! I had the opportunity to be instructed by Alex and he was very nice, encouraging and fun to work with! I highly recommend you surf with this company! It was a LOT of fun!
