Great private walking food tour- many different places to sample variety of local foods, along with learning the history
We had an outstanding experience on João Fernandes’ walking food tour of Lisbon. João took us to several delicious, authentic spots that we never would have found on our own—places where locals actually eat, not just tourist restaurants. Every stop was excellent, and the food was a wonderful introduction to Lisbon’s culinary culture. What truly set this tour apart was João himself. He was incredibly knowledgeable about Lisbon’s history, neighborhoods, and traditions, sharing fascinating insights throughout the tour. He was also exceptionally kind, welcoming, and attentive, making everyone feel comfortable and engaged. This tour was one of the highlights of our time in Lisbon. If you’re looking for a great way to experience the city’s food, culture, and history, I highly recommend taking a tour with João. You won’t be disappointed!

Gabriela speaks perfect English, she’s cool, knowledgeable and fun! We learned so much about Portuguese history! She’s amazing! She took us to eat so many different types of food & drinks &!had the history & story behind all of it. This is a great tour, but be sure you get Gabriela!

This was an excellent walking tour. We made numerous stops and tried a lot of different types of food and drinks. The pace of the tour was great. Leisurely walking between stops. The highlight along with the food was our tour guide Antonio. He was extremely knowledgeable about the history, politics and traditions of Portugal. He was easy to talk to and a lot of fun. I highly recommend this tour.

What a perfect way to start our vacation in Portugal! Lourenco was fantastic, guiding us to beautiful overlooks of the city, teaching us about the history of Lisbon, and sharing some of his personal favorite spots in town. This is a PRIVATE tour so it was just Lourenco, my spouse and me! We left the experience ready to explore more of the city the next day and with a list of great restaurants to try and we did try several! I highly recommend this specific food tour.
