Was traveling with my husband and 2 kids 14 and 11, booked last minute and was skeptical after reading the negative reviews, so we were prepared with additions change of clothes, towel, kept some protein bars in case don’t get food till very late. I got a text message the day before regarding pick up time which was 6:00 am instead of 6:30 am as listed while booking, which was not a big deal and we did expect it to be a long and busy day! I also got all instructions upfront - regarding packing additional set of dry clothes, full pants for horseback riding( we were comfortable with shorts no issues whatsoever) even though we carried extra full length clothes, we did not know the sequence of activities upfront so we just wore shorts and tshirt over the swim wear. Our tour guide Armando was excellent and knowledgeable, he arrived before 6, gave us very explicit instructions about what to expect-when we will get time to change and we had plenty of time in between activities to switch quick into water shoes and dry off, it was a Packed day with 4 activities so we were not expecting much room. He did take us to a breakfast place prior to reaching the adventure venue ( self paid not included in package and we got decent options there and we did take advantage of that!), lunch (delicious) was at 1-1:15 pm and worked well since we had a breakfast at 8. We did receive our pictures as well via email- I was really worried about that since some reviews said it was a scam. You can take your phone as long as you are it’s secured well and in a waterproof case; it was strongly discouraged and we did not know what we were getting into so we left it with our stuff in the bus and hence opted for pictures, people from some other groups were carrying phones. Our minibus had plenty of room - our party had 11 people total in a bus that could seat 15-16 people; there was a water cooler with bottled water provided by Armando in the bus. Horseback riding was appx 45 mins, tubing 1:30-2hrs, canopying was around 1-1:30 Hr and hot spring was 1 hr so total time was 5-6hrs. All in all money well spent. We were picked and dropped at JW Marriott (7pm) but it’s almost 2:30-3 hrs from the venue. Do it! Kids and adults all loved it.

Everything was the best but tubing was the highlight of the experience! Horseback riding was also fun!

We had an absolutely wonderful time and would highly recommend this adventure! The tubing was one of the highlights—it was much longer than we expected with plenty of twists, turns, and exciting sections that kept it fun from start to finish. The zip lining was phenomenal! One moment you're soaring through the lush rainforest, and the next you're flying through a real canyon. The scenery was breathtaking and made for an unforgettable experience. The horseback ride was relaxing, with calm, well-trained horses that knew the trail, making it enjoyable even for beginners. Every staff member was friendly, professional, and full of energy, which made the entire day even more fun. Lunch was served at a charming ranch with a delicious buffet featuring authentic local cuisine. Everything was well organized from beginning to end, and we left with amazing memories. If you're looking for a day filled with adventure, beautiful scenery, and exceptional service, this is the place to go!

The tour was very fun. The tour guide was helpful and the guides at the excursion were friendly and helpful. I’d recommend!

Super fun experience. Highlight of the day was the river tubing. But all of it was amazing. Armando was the best host. Him and mambo were dope. 10/10 recommend.

Jorge and Jorge were amazing, so friendly and accommodating! The facility and adventure crew were also very curtious and made the experience run smoothly! It was just my 8yr old and I on this trip so, as a women, safety was a big concern for me. I never once felt unsafe! 10/10 for the whole experience!

Great all day excursion. Got to do a lot of different things. Tubing was awesome! Our guude/driver Mambo George was amazing!! So friendly and knowledgeable. He gave us lots of great information about Costa Rica. Always making sure we had what we needed for each activity. There was a lot of traffic on the way back to Tamarindo so we got back later than expected. We had so much fun on the ride home playing and music and singing our favorite songs from the 1980s. Make sure to request Mambo George for your guide.

I didn’t write a review when we did the experience but two years later, I have to say, it’s still one of our fondest memories as a family! The tour guide was helpful in us understanding the culture and things we were seeing. The zip line was all about safety and fun, and the photo package was SO worth it! The horses made my kids so happy to be independent. But…the tubing had to be the highlight! It was epic! So long, so many laughs…we loved it all!! Dinner…be ready to eat quick is all I can say though.

My family of 9 did the Guachipelin Tour, Tenorio River Tour, and Buena Vista Tour. All of them were absolutely superb and we are so happy we booked DIRECTLY with NATIVES WAY. Since before we booked, we looked for the best deals and service. I can undoubtedly say, NATIVE’S WAY is the only way to go when booking an experience in Costa Rica. The staff are all Super amazing !!! HENRY or TIFFANY from NATIVE WAYS adventures were super friendly, knowledgeable, and available for all my questions. Not only do they offer some of the best pricing but they’re super responsive. They will answer any and every question you have via phone call, email, text, or WhatsApp. They really made the whole experience very easy to book and get a good idea of what this trip entails. IF you’re going to book any adventures that include transportation, ask for the SHALOM Travel Transportation company. Our driver RANDALL and tour guide JORGE were the best. Not only did they drive us and explain the rich history of Costa Rica, but they were fun, energetic, and great people. They were nice enough to give us a full VIP experience. They brought us an ice chest with drinks as well as took the time to drive us DIRECTLY to every adventure. This is critical because other tour companies simply drop you off at the entrance gates meaning you have to walk with your entire gear (i.e., backpack, bug spray, sun screen, water, etc.) anywhere from 200 meters or more to the activity. With JORGE and RANDALL, you can leave your bags in the van, have fresh AC while You wait until your next adventure, and skip walking in the humid heat or rain for the next adventure. You feel luxurious with them. It’s honestly the only way to explore Costa Rica. JORGE and RANDALL saved us so much time because we were able to do the activities faster plus we have a cooler to store extra drinks and snacks. Moreover, they helped provide towels which made the experience even better for those in our group that forgot to bring any. If you’re in the area, do NOT skip the TUBING and HOT SPRINGS. The tubing was a family favorite because you get to float down a river with mixed sections that are lazy river and adventure. Then the hot springs was the perfect way to end the long day. The mud bath was a fun and unique experience. The water was definitely relaxing and an hour here went by way too fast. 100/10 experience. I 1,000% perfect recommend this Tour Company and Travel Company. Memories were made thanks to NATIVE’S WAY and SHALOM transportation services.
