JJ was fab and very flexible with the tour to suit our needs. Cycling was safe and we had great fun

We had a small group of 4 with our guide JJ, who did a great job explaining the city sights and getting us around safely. Our stop for complimentary ice cream was also a nice treat. I particularly appreciate that JJ accommodated me and my partner when we told him that we had a dinner reservation we needed to be back a bit early for - while the other couple explored Miraflores, he led us back to the main office and went back for the other couple afterwards!

After seeing the traffic in Lima, I was hesitant to book a cycling tour. But Tripadvisor convinced me to lock in with Haku tours and it was great. Our guide Leonardo was friendly and knowledgeable, and made sure to steer us safely through some hairy roads. The tour starts at Parque Kennedy and then weaves through the streets to the Malecon and down to the Baranco. Several pit stops along the way allow for picture taking and story telling and both were appreciated. Leonardo clearly appreciates the amazing street art in the Baranco and it was a highlight for me. Graffiti artists don’t get the respect they deserve and the work of Super Chato Eric, Jado Rivera and others that pay tribute to the black and Asian influences within Peru. The tour is well-plotted, well-paced and safe in a city that can be challenging to walk in, let alone cycle. Highly recommend.

We had a fantastic afternoon exploring Lima by bike with our guide, JJ. With just the two of us, the tour felt personal and relaxed. If you’re worried about cycling in Lima, don’t be. We felt completely safe and comfortable throughout. There are plenty of dedicated bike lanes, the route is mostly flat, and much of it follows the coastal cliffs, with beautiful Pacific views and stops at some of the city’s most scenic spots. JJ was a terrific guide—knowledgeable about Lima’s history, politics and everyday life, but also thoughtful and worldly. Our conversations went well beyond the usual tourist commentary, making the afternoon both interesting and fun. We explored different neighbourhoods, art and gallery areas, and beautiful natural spots, with plenty of time for photos and enjoying the views. Nothing felt rushed. A wonderful, easy and personal way to discover Lima, especially along the coast. Highly recommended—and if you can get JJ as your guide, even better!

Can only recommend this tour if you want a passionate guide telling you all about the history, stats, background to the city areas of Lima. Jay Jay was amazing and spoke excellent English and of course the ice cream stop was a winner!! Great value and fun!! Ingrid & Alec Cape town South africa

We did this tour the first day we arrived in Lima. Great activity to know the city and the bike route itself was a breeze, no crazy inclines. Our guide JJ was very knowledgeable about history and answered all questions about Peru.

The whole way through a super trip for a good price 😎 Our guide JJ was a skilled communicator and good at English. Suitable with a stop along the way where we got a really good story about culture and history. Mid-way through the trip, a refreshing ice break 🌻 At the back of the field rode our friendly and attentive "technical guide," who made sure the bicycles worked as they should. The trip can strongly be recommended👍

Silvana was a wonderful guide, she gave us a fantastic tour of Miraflores and Barranco and explained the history behind all of the popular attractions. She even bought water for us and took us to get gelato in Barranco. Highly recommend!
