ボンベイ ヒルズは、ニュージーランドのオークランドの南にある丘陵地帯です。一見取るに足らない小さな丘陵地帯ですが、オークランド地域の南の境界に位置し、オークランドとワイカト地域の間の分水嶺として機能しています。船ボンベイに直接名前が付けられました。船自体はインドの都市ボンベイ（現在のムンバイ）にちなんで命名されました。ボンベイとは、黒くて短毛の中型の猫の品種を意味します。

We had an amazing experience that will always be a cherished memory. On our way to Hobbiton our guide provided interesting information on the history of New Zealand as well as how the topography fit into the Hobbit movies. He was prompt, kind and very helpful too. As for the Hobbiton…what a magical place! We got to see true craftsmen at work bring the imagination to life while being immersed in a stunning world of rolling hills, mystical hobbit holes and charming participants. And the food…delicious!!! It’s a definite must see on your visit to New Zealand!!

We had an amazing trip to Hobbiton and what made it even better was our tour guide and driver Karthik.
