So glad to have chosen this tour with Lukas. When we met up, he asked if I wanted to focus on anything specific, and since I was hoping for a slow-paced day learning about Lijiang’s culture and history, that’s exactly what we did. Walking through Lijiang’s old town, history and culture are around every corner, and Lukas continuously offered background and context for everything we saw. Taking breaks along the way for coffee or a delicious local snack made the day feel relaxed, more like walking with a friend than being on a tour. Lukas is warm and approachable, and having lived in Lijiang for a long time — involved in local cultural projects and with close ties to native Lijiang people — his passion for and deep knowledge of the city really came through, and made the experience so much richer.

We had an amazing experience walking around and learning about rich history and fun facts about the area. My 11 years old daughter truly enjoyed it. We both were engaged and fascinated. We have to go back and explore even more as there is so much to see and we will definitely use this tour. Recommend it to absolutly everyone!

We took a one-day tour with Lukas to explore a few places in Lijiang, and it was truly an unforgettable experience. From the start, Lukas was incredibly thoughtful in tailoring the tour to suit our preferences and needs, making sure we had the best possible time. One of the highlights of the day was having lunch at a local family’s home. Not only was the food delicious, but the experience of connecting with the family and learning about their culture was something we would never have had the opportunity to do on our own or with any other tour group. After lunch, we went on a hike in the mountains, where we had the chance to enjoy some fresh air and a truly breathtaking view. The hike wasn’t too strenuous, but it offered a peaceful escape from the usual hustle and bustle, and the landscape was absolutely stunning. What made it even more special was that there were only a few of us, so we could enjoy the beauty of nature in a serene and quiet setting. It was the perfect way to unwind and take in the surroundings without feeling rushed or crowded. We would highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Lijiang – it’s an experience you wouldn’t want to miss!
