I was picked up at my hotel at the exact time. My guide Afif was very knowledgeable about all the sites we visited as well as Indonesian history.

All the Candles and Questions
I stayed in Jakarta an extra day when I saw this trip was available and I am so glad I did. It was an incredible day. Ms. Siti and Mr. Pak Riswan immediately put me at my ease and gave such thoughtful answers to my questions.
We stopped at the mosque and the cathedral, the Confucian temple. Ms Siti and I had a delicious lunch and a really thoughtful conversation.
We visited the old harbor and city square, and each time I saw something interesting my guides were quick to make sure I got a chance to take all the photos and ask all the questions I wanted.
Looking back I can’t believe how much we saw in a short day.
I highly recommend this tour to lovers of history and theology, and anyone open to meeting the lovely people running this tour in this warm, spicy, and deeply interesting city.
