Comprehensive tour of the 5 monuments. Our guide was very knowledgeable. You walk between monuments.

This tour was very good but could have been even better. The tour was overbooked and occasionally swamped the individual attraction. The guide was very knowledgeable and keen to share his knowledge at length. So much so that the tour considerably overran its planned three hours. By the end people were wilting at the extended walk and the extensive detail. The tour script would benefit by being edited. All in all, a fascinating but flawed experience

Excellent tour. Guide was excellent - learned so much. Learning about the history of Ravenna and seeing the beautiful mosaics was amazing . Highly recommend.

We took the Italian language tour, since we speak the language but guided tours in English are also available. Very friendly office staff and tour guides. Not to be missed.

The tour is 3 hours long as described. We visited the 5 UNESCO sites which were incredible! The mosaics were beautiful and depicted many historical scenes. I would definitely recommend seeing all 5 and, if you have time, go back to look at them again. There were so many scenes that I didn’t notice the first time. Our group had about 30 people. The tour guide was very knowledgeable and gave us a lot of good information about the mosaics. She clearly knows her stuff. She could have been more engaging though. Most of the time, you couldn’t hear her or could not understand what she was saying. Unless you are standing close to her, you could not really hear her. The audio piece went on and off. It was very unreliable although it was clearly connected to her. I think it was because she did not try to project what she was saying. Most of the time, she would converse with one or a few people but she did not try to include the whole group. Most of the people on the tour gave up and did not try to hear or understand her. Instead, we blindly followed her around for 3 hours and every so often, we would hear bits and pieces of what she was saying. I think she would have been a better guide for a smaller, more intimate group.

The tour was a nice experience. Marco, our guide, with his expertise helped us appreciate even more the wonders we saw.

Seeing the mosaics in Ravenna is definitely a 'must do.' It's hard to find them all, and some seem like they will be uneventful from the outside, but once you enter, it's a 'wow factor.' I don't think we would have seen what we did without our guide, so I am glad we did it. . That being said, our guide seemed a bit burned out, and unorganized. She had us doubling back to places because she messed up the schedule, and it was a lot of walking to begin with to cover this tour over three hours without that extra time and distance. We were also a very small group, just 7 of us, and she made no effort to personally engage, ask people questions about where they were from, why they wanted to see the mosaics, or to connect the group at all. Given we were spending three hours together, this was a missed opportunity that would have made the time more enjoyable. Still, I am glad I did it!
